FIFTY ONE YEARS ago when I was 11 yrs old, one of my cousins from Michigan told me and my brother about the legend of the dogman. He didn't use the term "dogman". He said it was a wolverine like creature, but way larger than a wolverine and that in the 1960's it had terrorized a rural part of Michigan north of Grand Rapids where he was from. This thing broke down the front door of at least one house and ripped its victim to shreds. He said the police blamed it on a black bear but there were eyewitnesses from that area who had seen this thing and said there's no way it was a bear. At first we laughed at him and told him he was making it all up but with a real serious look on his face he said he was simply telling us exactly what he had heard from adults. He never changed his story. To be honest, I had forgotten all about that story until about seven years ago when I first heard about the Michigan dogman. That's when I suddenly remembered the story. No doubt, what he had heard was the legend of the dogman...

I'm in mid-Michigan woods, outside Harrison, 73 years old, and I've heard too much about cryptids....I never go out at night. I've been following everything "paranormal" since the 70's. Plenty proof of cryptids here in the woods. Had a night house BANG about 7 years ago, and took video of HUGE snow tracks here in March 2021, over 6 feet apart....I put a broom between the tracks before I took the video

I also live in Northern Wisconsin on the Bayfield Peninsula. When I was a Radio DJ at the Northernmost Radio Station in the state on an Ojibwe reservation we would have a call in program on Halloween with a local historian as an in studio guest. We got quite a few stories about strange creatures and tracks told to us by seasoned hunters and long time residents who have been frequenting the forests in our area. They know what lives in these woods but they encountered many things they couldn't wrap their minds around. So called Dogmen along with Sasquatches and Little People were reported to us. Some actually made it to police reports and the Bigfoot Research Organization (BFRO). During COVID downtime I went out into those forests to check things out and yes, there are things out there that point to these reports being bassed on fact.

I'm not sure if it's fair to say these things shouldn't be out there. Jknoe many people feel that way but everything in Nature has a purpose and a reason for being there. These things have been on this Earth maybe longer than Humans( in our present form) have.We are destroying the Natural World that other life forms need for their own survival because many Humans feel we are the Crown of Creation and Nature is ours to exploit at our pleasure. This may not be a healthy belief. To these other forms of life that out Creator has put on this Earth, We might be the Monsters?

The reason, besides all the encounters people have had. I actually saw one run across the road omw to work about five months ago. I honestly didn't want to believe it and tried everything to debunk it. Unfortunately, there are street lights literally surrounding where it crossed the road. Plus, it's hard to debunk at least 8ft tall bipedal being crossing the road. This was 5 minutes from downtown Chattanooga with no traffic. I've had a few people tell me they have seen things within the city. Besides the massive deer population in/around the battlefield. There's a ton of homeless people living in the woods around here.

Thank you for another super interesting episode about the dogman/ werwolf! I am from Germany and I know about the Peter Stubbe case. I know the story that way, that the hunters went out to shot the werwolf. And they shot a wolf into his paw. The next day Stubbe came to town and he had a injured or total missing hand. Well, the people saw that as the sign that he was the werwolf they had shot at a paw! I too know the story about the beast of Gevaudan. In that case I find it intetesting that it is a fact, that far over 100 people got killed by an animal in the exact years! The ones who szrvived an attac discribed the beast as being like a wolf, but no wolf. Back in the time they did not knew exotic animals, but wolfs! But they never told that the beast was walking upright. It is supposed it was more as just one beast and that possibly humans were involved.... Officially it ended with a silver bullet in one of the beasts.....But the story goes the beast was brought to Paris but the king couldn't use a second beast and it got digged in the palace gardens in secret. We here in Germany had in ancient times the wolf warriors, super brave man. They put on wolve skins in battle and the took toxic mushrooms and did rituals. For the ancient people that was ok, but in the middle ages, with christianity it became evil and witchcraft. Stories like redhidinghood became popular and in the end all wolves got killed. The werwolf was borne, a man turning into a wolf at full moon through a curse. A bite makes you a werwolf too and only a silver bullet can kill a werwolf. After death he turnes back into his human form. That way you can't find werwolf- bones. To me our ancient stories sound likewise to the nativ americans and the african shamens that turne into wolf-human cryptids. Also silver bullets, cursed bullits ore bullits with secret ash. There is a newer channel from a navajo nativ, shanclen productions I think. He has amazing videos about skinwalkers. Maybe you know him already.

Looked like a very large dog BUT here's the thing, it was upright, standing on two legs...hard to determine how tall it was, I'd estimate 5-6 feet maybe. I know these to be real, I have had multiple encounters of these things through my life. I even once had to face one with a large kitchen knife to save my dog from getting eaten in my back yard when I was 15. It was trying to draw me out of the house. I thought I was a goner, but I faced it anyway. I chased it off and saved my dog, but had it actually fought me, I would have been dead. No doubts about it. It was as big as a dire wolf. If you witness these things, please for the love of God, please be careful. Do not underestimate them. They move faster than anything I’ve ever seen in the wild.

My sister and I many years ago when we were younger were on a walk through the countryside of Northeast Pennsylvania in a small country village called English Center. English center for a little painted picture is very much middle of nowhere PA and is mostly mountains and fields with farms and the scattering of family homes many miles between one another. Anyways we decided on a beautiful summer day that we were going to go on quite the walk... it was perfect for it. Not to hot with a refreshing breeze which helped to cool us down in between the areas of tree overhang on the country roads that kept the sun off of the for the vast majority of the day.. this keeping it at least 10 degrees cooler for the majority of our walk. We were walking along talking and be silly as girls tend to be at time.. just being girls really. When several miles into our walk we got a horrible smell of something... a smell like we have never smelt before. It was one of rotting something missed with that horrible wet dog smell but think 100 wet dogs with rotting meat piles very nearby... only way I can describe what we had smelled that day. It was not as if we had walked into the smell but that it just had appeared as we were resting by a small creek bed and had been there for 30 minutes prior to the smell appearing. We tried to look around thinking maybe something/ animal had dies nearby possibly in the waterway and wanted to be sure that was not the case as many of the local and their kiddos swam at this creek. Looking around for nearly another half hour we found nothing that would be the cause of such a rancid smell... when we both just got a really bad feeling in our guts and my sister had said do you feel like you're being watched? Which I did and responded as such. As we were climbing back up the small hillside to get back on to the small one lane country road... rocks came barreling down the hillside opposite of us and across the creek. This scared the heck out of us and we booked it up the hill and proceeded to run down the road back towards home. After running a bit we stopped and curios as to what would had caused the several large rocks to come flying down the hill like they did in the very locations that we had just minutes before been standing and sitting in. These rocks were large rocks and where had they come from because the location we were had rocks at the creek sides but much of the hills on both sides were much smaller rocks and moss and sticks and leave coverage on the hill sides, and it was not as if they just fell/rolled down the hill till they crashed into the creek below... no these rocks were thrown very near to us and in our direction and it felt very purposefully done... as if something didn't want us there and was warning us to move on... which we did. We sat a little ways up the road where we could still see the area of the creek that we were just at and been thrown out of ( sorta) but we never did see nor did we hear anything more after that. We of course ended that walk and headed back home, when we got home I told my partner what had happened and his response was must have been a bigfoot. As there was a few sighting in the years prior apparently within the surrounding areas over a span of 20 years and all are reported sightings as I just recently found out Via the BFRO as the experience and my partners response have never left my mind. Guess we will never really know exactly what it was that day back in 2010 but I like to think maybe it was a bigfoot, and My sister and I got to share a once in a lifetime experience with one another. Stay safe everyone, and hope you enjoy my story, as I've never publicly spoken on the matter before tonight 10-30-2023. Keep your eyes and minds open never know what you could experience or see.

Thanks for sharing your very detailed encounter, it's intriguing and you should share it more because I think people don't realize how many normal, very sane people have had some type of experience in their lives that they cantbexplain. This bolsters others face to face encounters and makes it even harder to refute imo after hearing the sheer amount of first hand accounts over time from the public.

I too would love to hear more about thunder birds. I still don't know what I saw two years ago. Was it one or just a glider plane . I say this because there is no way it could be a bird. It was bigger than two vehicles side by side. And went right over to our camper. This Thing looked more like a giant eagle. But it was not a condor for sure . Funny thing was I couldn't stop wondering if gandar the great from Lord of the rings could ride that thing. No way to ride it like a horse. The body was as wide as a small car. If the storm hadn't knocked the power out. I would have had it on camera. Just my luck.

I believe the witnesses. I've had things happen and seen stuff that I can't explain, too. I know how awful it feels when nobody believes you or laughs at you, so I tend to believe when multiple people report similar sightings and I don't feel like someone is deliberately lying. The Dogman must be one of the most, if not the most terrifying cryptid out there, and I hope I'll never encounter it. It almost seems like it's not an animal but something vile, evil, not from this world. It just doesn't make sense that something like it would exist. Unlike bigfoot, who could be an undiscovered species of bipedal apes like a missing link. Maybe dogman is supernatural in nature, like the mothman seems to be?

20:47 I agree, although I'm into werewolves bigtime and fascinated with dogman, I get so angry at those people that upload footage of a shady patch in some foliage and zoom in while breathing heavy and whispering that it's looking at them. Whenever people comment on the video that there's nothing there, the poster attacks the commenter aggressively as do a bunch of his die hard fans who swear that they see something, and the ones that say they can't see it defend the poster by saying that because we can't see it, it doesn't mean it's not there, and other ridiculous arguments. There are lots of trolls in the cryptid sphere who like to clickbait cryptid enthusiasts with photoshopped thumbnails and exciting titles.

I've seen several photos and television show footage (expedition X 2 episodes) of plaster casts taken of dogmen/werewolves tracks. Dogmen have backwards bent animal hock legs and Werewolves have human looking legs, probably the best way to determine their dreadful sinister differences. Tallest Dogman reported was a horrifying 12 feet high and the tallest Sasquatch reported was a terrifying 15 feet high, genuinely disturbing upon multiple levels.

I saw what I could describe as a werewolf. That's the only thing I can call it, I saw this around Wildcat Lake or LBL in Kentucky, which this thing stalked me and my friend to his house. This wasn't a costume or a prank. It was very tall and had a wolf like head. It did stand on two legs, covered head to toe in fur. But I knew it wasn't a prank because the woods were too quiet and normally a large predator is near when that happens. It followed me and my friend all the way back to his house. This wasn't the first time I was at his house and had the same feeling something was watching me and following me. LBL has something in its woods lurking around at night killing Buffalo, and the park rangers claim it's a bear. I'm here to say it's most definitely not a bear and scared me most of my life enough after 2016 to never go in the woods late at night. The first time I was ever terrified or concerned, my life might end due to an animal I couldn't explain what it was, other than a werewolf.

The historic stories you spoke about and had other ideas on the werewolf legends. It was very thought out and well spoken. 53:48 I'm kind of a sceptic yet I do believe in cryptids, and besides the paranormal aspect of it, I think it would be amazing to find definitive proof that they are real and just really good at hiding from the race of human monsters. If you think about it, what would our governments do if they were proven to exist? Here comes the scientific community to x ray, take blood, hair and other samples. It would be very sad

As a Christian, there are some things that can't be explained through science or natural phenomenon. Something's mathematics just can't measure. I do believe that these things can exist. Even though I've never seen one, I'm not going to write someone off simply because I'm skeptical of their story as much as I would like. Proof my Faith goes beyond what my eyes and ears can give me after all. We are but mere mortals in the face of a universe that is in the best sense makes us look like a speck on the stain of reality. These things probably do exist because there's too many sightings and witnesses all over the world. People have different names and different ways of talking about them. But I do believe it's possible.
