I was born in Wenatchee on July first, 1934. My mother was the Apple Blossom Queen ( I think in 1926).❤

Yeah they never talk about the Wenatchi tribe and its aggravating. Yeah it's angering they don't get near the credit they deserve for this town.

@@LukeSilver-fe7ivWilfred woods who owned the paper scammed the natives out of there by convincing them that if they didn't join the Colville tribe they were going to be taxed off of their land.

Good video. If you do another one. Here are some ideas. The great Montana flood and palisades. The kkk that flooded wenatchee then randomly disappeared. Hamiltons cemetery. This one is a good one. It's an old Indian cemetery. Also research the old definition for wenatchee. It was cursed by native Americans before fleeing this area..... Wenatchee also has a super creepy story about hs kids that would dig up dead bodies and party with them. Lol no joke. It happened in the early 80's. Lol.

Wow, that's a lot of interesting stuff I would like to know more about. I have read a bit about the KKK's history here in a book called "Wenatchee's Dark History" I got at the museum. But I have never heard of Hamilton's cemetery or the last thing. Can you elaborate in an email to wenatcheejournalist@gmail.com?

I was a teen in Wenatchee during the 80's. Never heard about any dead body party. Silly stories. Only thing I really remember is a bunch of adults had a sexual taste for children that got sweapt uder the rug for the most part.
