Following their label debut ‘Heights’, French production duo Weltmusik return to Purified Records with their majestic two-track ‘Lonely Roads’ EP. Opening with a touching vocal offering, the title track glides across a pristine arrangement with soaring synths, silky vocals and driving percussive elements. Flowing into ‘Crowded Skies’, Weltmusik devise a dreamy soundscape through lofty synths and intricate instrumentals, pushed along by deep rolling bass.
The ‘Lonely Roads’ EP artwork features an aerial image of a coral reef by Daniel Nicholson. These intricate structures, formed by the calcium carbonate skeletons of coral polyps, serve as vital breeding grounds and habitats for marine life.
