Also Dougal was built by Andrew Barclay of Kilmarnock as they built engines for both narrow and normal railways

Those little Beyer Peacock tanks make a very nice sound, don't they. Dougal does look as if it'd more at home on about 7¼" gauge, though, doesn't it.

G.C.G.D. stand for GLASGOW CORPORATION GAS DEPARTMENT. PROVAN WORKS was built in the early 1900s.
