This guy took me back home. These Gangs in Free state started in Initiation schools. We'd be playing soccer as kids growing up then once homies go to the Mountains they come back affiliated into local gangs. After that you knew life was never gonna be the same again. I'm glad i left home and never looked back. whenever i go back home to visit relatives i stay indoors because It's rough in Free state. Not forgetting Nyaope homies & Corrupt municipal officials, you get screwed left and right. If there's no Water or Electricity for over 3 months then your gate or Cobra Brass Water tap is stolen. NB: I'm not from Welkom though.

@@fortune4021 IJP was a gang born out of the kids from a place called Mshenguville, their OG's were the original mapotoketsi (Pic Jack) who fought against two groups Zauta which came from the neighborhood that made the VL. the older boys got arrested, died, or moved away. so the two young splinter groups were born IJP and VL, but there was another group that was there intermittently fighting both groups at times ISK. there were numerous groups from a lot of neighborhoods and as he alludes to there was lots of infighting.
