A thought. To expand on this brilliant circuit, consider a pulsed welder with gas. Known as 'cold welders in China ' To regulate the gas, a valve is used and the output welding pulses are PWM controlled. Love your channel.

Nice little welder, and as far as learning to weld, I was once told that if you get 20 pounds of welding rod and use them all, looking over your weld after each rod, you will be pretty good by the time you have used them all up.

Or 2 miles of Flux Core Wire! But only if you Pay Attention! Once you realise theres only One Channel, the Puddle becomes Pretty Interesting!

What I realized with the electrodes on a welding inverter, is the fact that they melt faster than what they do on a traditional welding transformer. I tried to weld with both of them, but that's the only disadvantage I found on a welding inverter compared to a welding transformer

I need a version who has constant voltage for a mig, can I change this one to put voltage feedback in as a extra tegehther with the current limiting this one has.

the Anang 8002 multi meter & others really copy the look of the Fluke meter!! seen today the anang 8002 is going for 14 euro's on bang-good. That Fluke must be a few hundred euro's!.. i find watching meter testing videos that there's nearly no difference in most meters these day's. it's a great time to get into electronics as a hobby or for a career. everything so cheep to buy now, & easy to learn with videos like this and many others.. WOW! i commented on this video a year ago already. what have i learned since then!! Bloody Loads my Friend's. : )

You may have already found this out by now .... but, when welding, cover any bare skin (arms/neck) or you will suffer burns from the UV... 😳 Also ensure others are not around when you weld as they will experience "welding-flash" if their eyes are unprotected... after a day it feels like sand in your eyes & is very uncomfortable, painful even. It only takes a single moment to get it... I was a welder by trade & know all about it 🙄 As always, I love your builds & detailed descriptions... thank you... From the Emerald Isle 😎👍☘🍺

Why are most of these style of welders outputting 63 volts? It is too low for certain welding rods. Can you build an IGBT welder that puts out 95 volts?

Remember automatic discharge resistors across high voltage capacitors with a suitable discharge rate….regards Gary….isolation transformer needed and a variable for first start up monitoring a build is ok and helps but should be teaching better practices …and workshop. Skills.. regards Gary..

@@devilvortex1 Filter ist gut; geht nur über einen zusätzlich davor geschalteten Trafo. Wird die Schaltung aber noch größer, aufwendiger und teurer.
