What a dream to own one of these, can’t wait to see it fully restored
Used Land Rovers are both rare and cost a fortune here in the U.S. I applaud your ability to own a fleet of them. I do wish you would hop back on that Series 3 project (my personal favorite).
Sophie, Gordon is a great addition to your growing fleet. I can't wait to see what's in store for us. Thanks Sophie.
My last pickup was nicknamed Gordon by my daughters. I love the 110 and I love the idea of setting this one into an overlander.

It really is a great name! Thank you for following along, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into building an overlander 😄
Glad to see you are back again! Good luck on that 110. Cheers from a Yank in Suffolk!
Refreshing Discovery your Channel! Made me chuckle to appreciate how much of a Landy Enthusiastic you really are. Obviously a Very Competent Mechanic. Appreciate your methodical approach. Funny you name him, where as the majority of men such as myself choose female name's. My Old Girl was 'Sally' Ex MOD 110 2.5 NAD Sure you'd have worshipped such a vehicle! I had her for 15 year's Living In/Working With. Of Course I used to spray the Camo myself every so often. Your approach utilising Cardboard for placing bolt's/Fitting's a method I myself Alway's practiced. By your dialect wonder whether your talented self familiar with the Company I purchased My Old Girl from:- John Richard's-Hinstock-Shropshire. As for your 'Gordon' Engine Very Promising, especially encorporating your skill's,though that Chassis somewhat concerning, though should imagine 'Welding' would be another passion as such yourself would possess. Shall continue with intrigue to watch and admire your skill's. An Ex Landy Enthusiastic Raptor Rob 👍💋
Congrats on the new member of the family. 😃 Looks owsome. 👍🏻 Cheers Sophie. 🍷&🍺
Great addition to the fleet! It's always great when you post a new video. Keep up the amazing work

Thank you for the kind words! Part two coming as soon as possible ☺️
Awesome Defender Sophie! So happy to see a new video.👍 Your willingness to just tear into these projects is an inspiration to this old retired aircraft mechanic. Have you done anymore on the Series 3? I would also be interested to know how your internship with Aston Martin is coming along?! I can totally see you cruising around in a Silver Birch DB5!👌

Thank you for such kind words! To be honest, due to my situation at the unit I was focusing purely on the Discovery. But, I will be starting the Series 3 project once again in the near future. My apprenticeship is going very well thank you, I’m going to have a sit down and make an update video as well in the near future as I have a lot to talk about as always! I think a DB5 would go nicely in the fleet 😁
Best of luck on the new Canvas!! I'm sure that you will be as thorough as usual and can't wait to see the progress :)
I really apreciate all the effort you come up with, these 200Tdi are getting quite rare here in Europe and yours seems to be in quite good condition, compared too many others on the market. Keep going with this great Conten!👍
Morning Sophie. It’s a real pleasure watching you work on land rovers 😊 Gordon is a real classic LR it reminds me of the on off on the buses lol 😆 It’s that time of the year so wishing you a very happy Christmas 🎄 all the very best for 2023 Stevie x
Building an overlander, sounds like a good time to do a colab with 4XOverland. I bet the two of you could come up with some great ideas together! Possibly a travel adventure style series when this build is done. 🍻
I'm liking the overland/camel trophy direction. 👌
Excellent choice! We are all looking forward to seeing the transformation!
Awesome!! Cant wait, I just purchased a 1993 200Tdi Defender a few weeks ago and this is inspirational. Love these old diesels
And so the collection grows! Excellent.
don't stop! keep going forward with informative content. your enthusiasm is inspirational, To all that watch. i have had a 200TDi, issues with return line banjo bolts working loose! A 300TDi that ate timing belts, watery mud did not help. Now have a non land rover engine in. Every time i drive it now it now, feels like like very the first Land Rover i had, The 110 200TDi. Smiles per mile all the way. No pain no Gain !! My Regret, not stopping to compliment yourself at the LRO 2022,as you were perousing the trade stands
Great project looking forward to seeing your plans unfold on this one.
Gordon, could be one of the fleet that you make the most memories in! I would keep him usable rather than a show pony, that way you won't be scared of getting out there living ! Looking forward to episode 2 Sophie.!!
You do so right, Sophie... If there is a good opportunity (such as this 200 TDI ) comes in your way, you better go for it... ..there is no such thing as 'too many projects' only lack of inspiration... Keep up the good work... ..love watching your videos...
A brilliant video Sophie. You are very methodical, excellent stuff.
Can never have too many projects specially Landrover projects, great content keep up the amazing work
Wow, your knowledge is awesome Sophie
What an absolutely wonderful addition to the fleet!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Did the same thing with drawing timing cover and bolt positions on cardboard when I did my 300tdi. Nice work Sophie 👍🏻
For cleaning the interior of a frame, I bought an attachment for my pressure washer called a drain blaster. Obviously, it's used for drain cleaning, but it works great for frames. It's essentially a flexible bit with a multi-directional nozzle on the end. Thought it might help a tad.

I use mine for cleaning up the frame after offroading. Best thing ever!
How on earth you manage to find all these is beyond me, looking forward to seeing more of all of the landies in the fleet keep it up👍
A superb video Sophie. Really interesting to see how you give "Gordon" getting a new lease of life 🙂
excellent update Looking forward to Gordon's upgrades etc
i missed the bell for this oO great content Sophie :)
Thanks for your demo of 200Tdi engine
Looks like a great new project! Can’t wait to see it take shape, and totally agree with your direction on it. I’ve seen overlanding rigs with so much stuff added to them they look like they belong in Jurassic Park, and that’s never been my speed either. Good luck with the build!
Beatiful land rover
Awesome job 👍🏻
Nice work Sophie! Look forward to seeing the end result 💪

that TDI will be an interesting build
I see a Dealership forming here....... Great work and Welcome Gordon..... Loving your work as always Sophie.... :-)) xx
I don't know if it's appropriate or not, but lady, you are the dream girl. Keep up the good work. Cheers from 6000 km away.
Thats brilliant Sophie.
Great job 👏
Nice addition to the fleet and it the price is right go for it. And you are right so parts and motor with low mileage are getting hard to find with older vehicles. Sophie what a good mechanic you are becoming keep up the great work and have fun with it.
I've also just bought a Defender 110 200Tdi and will be doing a complete nut and bolt rebuild. Never done one before so I will be following your videos very closely.

Congratulations on your latest purchase! Projects like these can take a lot of time and effort but it will be well worth it. Let me know how you get on ☺️
Looking forward to this one, Sophie!
Looks like he will be Gordon the express land rover in due course. Excellent post, thank you.
Sophie love your fleet of vehicles it’s truly brilliant 🎉
Love your videos Sophie! I did not realize the TDI Motors came mated to a short Bell Housing! I absolutely hate the long bell housing pushing the weight of the motor almost 12 inches forward.
One of the best models of 110's, I used to drive one regularly towing a 3000kilo A frame publicity unit. Bevore towing rules changed, it would easily tow at 60mph.
Still got my Discovery yr 93 TDI 200 with 93K on it still starts and runs good 1st time after months sitting there. had to drive it out of the garage to get to the inspection pit to work on my Defender 90 TD5, was offered £500 for the engine but it's not going anywhere.🙂
I agree with you on the steering wheel spinner, I would never have one on my landy. I do have one on my tractor and love it, because on a tractor you are often using your other had to control eeh front loader or a rear implment and having a spinner means you can steer the tractor safely with one hand.
I love it! 😃😃😃
Cool project 😊👍🏻👍🏻
You can never be too rich, too thin, or have too MANY PROJECTS especially a 110!👍👍
Guerreira, muito bom trabalho. Parabens
By heck Sophie, like keeping yourself busy don’t ya! Keep up the good work 👍
I just bought the same defender so happy
Love Gordon, My 21 year old Son is after a 110, and want to go on an adventure in it.
I wish I had the equivalent 'get up an go, accomplish things , drive' that you do !
All there is to say is you can never have too many Land Rover’s
I like hylomar hylotyte red. I use it for everything. I stir it through my tea, put it on my sandwiches hell i even use it to brush my teeth! Great stuff!
Love that idea for Gordon, he should look like a proper piece of kit when all thats done, that cardboard idea is very good. Can’t wait for the next update 👍

Thank you Rhys! ☺️
No doubt you’ve seen the incredible overlander that Grizzly and Bear did. They’ve driven it from France to Australia. Great channel.
Loved this video got a ton of questions I’d love to ask as wanted a110 for years and would love to do it all myself
Keep it going young lady, plenty more spanner work for you👍👍
Preciosa mujer en un maravilloso coche
Good job and thanks for the video. A recent phrase is moving into the 'car culture'. "Get it running before you get it right." These vehicles should be enjoyed and trying to build Concur level museum pieces is not a normal person's goal. Well done!
Love Gordon and looks like a great project 🙌 my RR was called Gordon too 😂

Cracking name right!😄
Looks a great defender to turn into an expedition truck
10/10!
That said, the 200tdi is bomb proof. I have several.A good engine choice for an over lander. fixing on exped will be (and is) easy (trust me).
Liy the art work, well done 😅
Whoo say hello to Gordon from my rig which is a 1985 110 4bd1 turbo County, named after my late Clark of works Dennis the jackrussel who used to travel Australia with his sniffer hanging out the passenger window.😁😁😁😁🤤
Sophie: provided you're happy, there is no such thing as too many projects.
Gorgeous. Give her the full beauty spa treatment ..she is in capable hands.
Well you kept that quiet Sophie! Another great project which looks a bit more solid than the Disco - although we shall see! Been a few years since I had the front end off a Gemini, happy days.
Awesome! Will you take cameras along on your drives?
I wish I could afford one never mind two! You’re very lucky
Well, you do like dropping a surprise on us all!
🎂perfect deal))
Sophie when you gonna do a p38 for all us range rover nuts
well done sophie keep up the good work! dont you just hate when people make just copper brake lines and not cupro nickel never made to the right shape!
I envy you ..this cost a lot in Finland Nice video thanks
My 300tdi woke up with Rodknock this morning :( in for a Rebuild.
Sophie has also a wide of JCB machines in her garage
Mines a military 110 , had for 30 years among many mothers .
Mini restoration project ...? And you are going to disassemble it down to the chassis to refurb it..?, Lol.. I don't know if that's still in the 'Mini' category tbh Sophie ....
Never pas up an adition to the family and another project when it comes along, especially if it turns out it is a good deal. Congrats!!

I love the Land Rovers and always wanted one...but it amazes me just how badly these vehicles rot.

It’s all down to the owner really. If you look after them, they will plod on! Of course it’s also down to age (of any vehicle), but generally if they are well maintained they will just go on ☺️
Go Sophie! 🇦🇺💪
good day
Random question, but how available is various hylomar flavours in the UK? It's a bit trickier here in Aus cos you've got to deliberately order it in.
❤❤❤
Splurge on a galvanized chassis and never look back, and if you can swing it get a galvanized bulkhead too.
What was the thing Sophie threw on the floor at 03:26? She said she hated it and took it off 🤔
👍👍👍👍
🥰🥰🥰
Hi Sophie, what steam cleaner do you use ?
👍🤩👍
Make the most of the sand that's as close as you'll be getting to the beach for a while 🤣
