The Kite Fighters by Linda Sue Park is a why I'm sharing this video with my class this week!

I grew up in a foothill area of southern california where the wind was something else at certain times of the year. a kid with a cheap kite could easily launch the thing without even running or anything just literally let it go and watch the string unwind....it would be so high!! You could even tie it off go eat dinner and come back and it is still way the H up there! I remember being too lazy to reel the things back in and so I would just let em go! Bye kite! LOL ....I remember having flying dreams with strong wind and I WAS the kite! Great fun for kids....not so sure how it can excite adults though???....maybe not a lot of other options? lol idk to each their own I recon I only looked this up because kite fighting is refrenced in Jack Reacher season 2

Am i listening to Nazeem, Flying kites in the cloud district are we?

Is it just me or is the music volume set too high compared to the voice volume, I can’t hear what is being said unless the music is blaring.

Here cause i just heard a ton of people died from doing this. Thats fuckin metal

Why does nobody talk about the deaths from this festival? Just recently kids have had their throats slit by rogue kites with loose glass coated string while flying their own kites... And it's not the first time. It happens every year! Even people not even engaged in the festival have died...

Right!? First comment I’ve seen on a video addressing the deaths. I know it’s a tradition but it either needs to be practiced safer or not at all. Those poor victims and their families.

The kites have glass coated string and the aim is to cut down other kites with your kite string! It has recently killed a bunch of people at a festival in India!

Volume mixing is awful Music=400 Voice =70

whoever did the audio mixing on this video needs to get fired. the speaking is inaudible and the music is ear piercingly shrill. 0/10 go fly a kite
