Hey all, I know you all really wanna see us play using proxy chat - but with the way we edit/record things, playing with prox chat is just too difficult to do and doesn't create the best content with our 4 player view style. We wouldn't be able to create content that is this highly edited/good. Hope you understand. We still had plenty of amazingly funny and scary moments while in discord. I promise!

Is there a way to play with proxy chat while also having the volume down to 0 (to avoid echo)? I know some creatures respond to voice, and without proxy chat *at all*, it might cheese some of those enemies.

That's just to bad then. Prox-chat shenanigans and the way the game deals with it (monsters, environments, walkie talkies, dead can't talk) are 90% of what makes this game fun to watch, without it it's just a janky looter imho.

In-game chat not only affect the distance between you and your "co-worker", also do alert enemies nearby.

The in game chat is actually really good in this game

if you play this game again i highly suggest you use the proximity voice chat as it is really good and makes the game much more fun

Especially since it design with it in mind as some clips ended up revealing creators game wanted it be good so some items effect of voice would be noticeable.

Yeah, you don't get the moments where you're talking to someone, and then they just go quiet for seemingly no reason

Proxy chat is ABSOLUTELY a must for this game, it makes everything so much better

NO. WAY. Everyone that finds even the tiniest of bugs starts screaming Aenna finds the leech dude and GOES TOWARDS IT!?! This fearlessness will NOT last, I know that for sure

Pluses to the in-game proximity chat. You can tell when you're getting close to someone. They have voice filters for different situations like drowning or being suffocated. There's other reasons like item specific things.

i'm so happy you guys play this game! i been watch and playing this a lot lately. (by the way give a try at proximity voice chat it always hilarious)

The proximity chat experience makes this game 100% better than using discord tbh, it doesn't feel the same while watching this.

Lethal Company is pretty great. Definitely one of the best co-op indie games in the past couple months.

Awww, playing the game using the prox chat makes EVERYTHING better....the muffled screams, the sounds of drowning, ya'll are missing out on hilarious content just for NOT using the game chat.

PLEASE play it with the proxy voice in-game , its 100x times better.

While using ship terminal type " Scan " to know how many scraps on the map Also always right click to scan while exploring it helps alot Also on Hazard level b u guys have 1 in game hour safe time and after that enemy wil spawn Also type " beastery " to know more about monsters behaviour it will help u guys a lot Also love u guys content keep uploading lots

First of all, there is a lot of hate about not using proximity chat, I don't care if Stumpt uses it or not, their shenanigans are worth it either way! Also here are some moments throughout. Remember when you were a kid and the Ice cream truck almost hit you then you were torn between being terrified and in tears or to be happy that you could get ice cream now? Yeah, me neither (Price almost getting crushed by the drop pod 😂), right off the rip! Something about Aenne grabbing Price's butt 😏? Jas=Run from bebe (bug "Son" thing), Aenne=Embraces bebe (also bug "Son" thing). No notes for Aenne means perfect crew member 😄! I also don't blame Ash for not jumping immediately, I personally am not great at parkour and would probably not make the jump at all! Well, mines are sensitive to "touch", no touchie! The "Company" would buy Jas's body at high price 😉 or anyone's for that matter! Also could not help but notice the gear/cog icon appearing when any of you were carrying a body, suggesting that they CAN be sold for "scrap" 😮. I don't think those vents are for you and the crew Ash, at least not for two-legged creatures. Jas can not wait for you Aenne, there's not time to wait or explain,😅 JUST SCRAP! Next time, I will keep track of the different times of these "current events". Awesome video anyways guys! ❤👌😃

I've been loving this game and enjoying you guys for a long while so this combo was still veeery fun even without the in game vc 🤣

Play the game how you're comfortable with tho I'd agree with others that it's worthwhile giving the in game voice chat a try. The audio quality is particularly good compared to most & it adds a lot to the experience such as hearing the screams of your friends fade out as they run away & turn a corner, abruptly stop as they fall/get eaten or just get muffled due to stuff. There's also environmental differences like echo while indoors & I heard some enemies can zone in on you based on them hearing you speaking/be noisy. You can still play it for the silly antics this game lends itself to tho the voice chat adds to the spoopy vibes by not knowing if your friends are still alive and/or if a monster got them and is heading closer to you. Or you may also run into them because you didn't know x person died that way.

I saw that it picked up Ash talking in dead chat so I'm assuming you have your mics going through in-game chat and just not using it. Since a decent chunk of creatures react to voices through in-game chat I'm glad you Atleast have it activated?

Even if you don’t find it easier, you should try to use in game chat, because sound levels is a major mechanic of the game, and it is a LOT easier to play without using in game chat.

More episodes please and while proxy chat would be cool (Price's fading screams as he gets chased by a monster), if it's too much of a hassle then it's not necessary.

Wish I could give an idea to the devs for this game, having constant AI sampling of voices for in-game voice to make like a mimic creature that uses the voice samples so you think you're talking to your friend but you're just talking to a creature other than that great game

Also a game suggestion could you guys check out LOTR Return to Moria it’s the newest LOTR game which is CO-OP you are a Dwarf in the game, there is also decent customization for the game, and it’s just a suggestion you guys don’t have to play it.

I don't think proxy is that important, exept for the monsters function. I am pretty sure you can fix that. The commentary of the dead makes it better I think, it's always annoying if you are dead and can't do annything anymore. I get why you prefer it. It's a game not a competition, the goal is to have fun. You are doing everything right.

Despite it being addressed and there being a proxy video, its still kinda disappointing.
