I agree on the 'Be Your Own Advocate' - I found my own diagnosis and presented it to my surgeon! Thanks for sharing your story - I relate so much with my own experiences with achalasia!

What your doing is a wonderful thing! This disease can take a toll on the strongest person mentally and physically and bring you to your knees . Support support ,support ,was what kept me sane while I battled with my sons diagnosis at age 12! My son is now almost 25 and battles still to this day........ on a day to day basis . Learning tricks that help, meds that help, Drs who specialize, foods to avoid triggers , talking to others really makes a difference with this disease . Keep reaching out , posting videos and touching the lives of those that are suffering with this horrible disease . Just Knowing your not alone and that other people do know what your going through speaks volume when your down and broken . I will continue to follow you as well as my son who posted below . We will chime in, share and support what your doing ! Thank you!

Thanks for the video and the hope! So sorry for all your difficult times. Glad you have some prolonged happiness now. Looking forward to other videos. I’ve been scared to exercise! Don’t want to burn calories that I don’t have!

Good video, your story is EXACTLY like mine, had 2 major surgeries and multiple stretches also, my second surgery was at the cleavland clinic also! I’m 6’1 and I’m still a stick, and I still push myself everyday. I Work full time, I eat full meals, but I still battle with the spasms, the weight loss and the mental part of it, but you said it yourself we just got to all figure ourselves out and your body out to deal with disease! We all have the same diagnosis but we all will have different bodies and can figure them out! Thanks again for the video hope all is well!
