8 year boy who fell into a clogged drain due to flash flood in central part of guwahati is missing.... almost 46 hrs have passed since the incident and no clue has been found till now ... Urban flooding seems to be a problem in every city through out the country...

problem is even if govt gives those middle man dont i have very example like one maid in our house had her card to get free rashon[made in corona times they got 15 kgs of daal wheat rice oil for few rupee] it was cancelled by fficer since she worked as maids and did work in compaany as well costs is so much she cant afford and that man not gonna make card unless she gives him nice bribe

Not to forget the Guwahati and Assam floods. Yesterday, a father and a 8 year old son duo slipped into an open manhole.Though the father managed to climb out, the son by all means has been swept away by the gushing drain waters, his mortals are yet to be located.

I m the currently pursuing civil engineering from NIT surat which is a famous college in gujarat. I want to clarify that the problem of collapsing structure is not the problem of design engineer because all the structures before construction are analyzed, testify using various softwares for the worst condition. the problem for this industry is all the people working in this industry are corrupt. From prof to even junior govt engineer to contractors all are money minded. And talking about engineers, the normal wages for civil engineers are very low as compared to other engineer. even LNT gives 6 lakh for a civil engineer from NIT colleges then why would good engineer join them. Whole industry of infra is ruled by the mafias

Man I wanna leave this country And maybe come back in 2-3 decades so atleast it's livable

India must outsource construction of all critical infrastructures to companies of First world countries. They should also be mandated to not employ any Indian. Ex: Takenaka came to India to improve construction standards, but it ended up hiring Indians. Today, it is one of the most corrupt construction companies in India.

The most astonishing thing is even with fund allocations of 1700cr for a bridge, it is destined to collapse because of coruption. We lack the virtues of morality in India. Let the rich get richer and the poor get poorer has been ingrained in the DNA of our country.

Construction work should be done by a govt body like CPWD, or any PSU, but not on contract. Specially on L1 contact.

Being a geologist i know most of the dams were constructed without Geophysical survey which causes such collapses

India gave me everything and i am glad for it..i can die by the nation but when comes to my family i cant take risk.. i am moving to dubai from 2025, and would gladly live there.

instead if criticising i think its a great chance to study deeper and understanding why they fail. that's how japanese learn the failure communicates that we misssed something and correct the process.they also should publish why it failed so that others and forthcoming structures could examine this factors that we don't have another failure with the same reason. awareness should be made to fabricators, supervisors,engineers and inspection agencies about these failure factors

The thing is, we are looking at an organisation which will be giving the permission to make the bridge after checking out the architectural plans and budget and quality material as being responsible for the public safety. Not even this, which will be responsible for gathering yearly maintenance certificates. That's what I'm hoping for. If it's we who created the subjects for individuals then why can't we change it. I live in West Bengal(North Bengal), here in monsoons floods are happening everywhere, and new infrastructure made the situation worse

In other countries, we see politicians signing resignations and apologizing for their failures if any such incident happen. But here, we have grown so used to seeing the government not caring enough about serving the public so much so that we just count these big infrastructural failures as some miniature incidents. this is a very unfortunate state of living. very unfortunate.

They get a bit more responsible and effective. The status quo is that various regional parties are sure the people here ain't gonna topple them like TMC so they do shit. Same goes for BJP in centre, they know people ain't gonna throw them eitherway, afterall they are the "rakhshaks of us Hindus" so if they do any work in any manner they will eventually win in the next election. Also a reason why opposition should never be made so weak by the people. They should be creadible and effective oppposition in centre and states.

As my father is a constructor, he made 20+ small bridges over lakes in my whole district in 2004-2021 but there is not a single crack in it. He never try to save soo much money from there type of high risk bridges he also get contract for village rodes and etc, there he save some amount of money.

@@Hello_man16 Actually, there's no need to use money from your own pocket if the amount is sufficient. If you're not tired of saving so much money for yourself, it will be enough to build a small brigade, and yes there is some cost cutting from unnecessary things. There are also other less risky places where we can save money. And yes, there are categories like A/B/C/D that you can get based on your experience and the type of construction. My father got Category A because the project involves water/river/river bridge requirements. If you get 'A', you can also work on projects classified as B/C/D. However, as mentioned in the video, securing a lower amount with a higher grade category and a bit of corruption might help you get the project. 😂
