Slash and Buckethead are both equally awesome in their respective genres, but the difference is that Slash makes music for money and Buckethead makes music for passion. Buckethead is more versatile and creative than any other guitarist out there.

In matters of technique, there certainly are many more guitarists way better than Buckethead out there, but when it comes to creativity, the varying riffs and melodies Buckethead creates, no one can match him. For example, See the difference between albums like The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock and Colma, the difference between Crime Slunk Scene and Captain EO's Voyage. One is completely Metal and shred, while the other is completely soft and soothing. That is what makes his fans go crazy after him

Right at 4:01 he hits some kinda harmonic but the PDA is in the way. Anyone know what he did? Normally you can kinda touch the string after it is picked 12 frets up to get that but it appears he hits his toggle switch? Whatever it was, its bad ass!

Buckethead is indeed good, but Buckethead is highly overestimated by his fans. There are so many other good guitarists. Would you really compare Buckethead's technique with Steve Vai (with his perfect bends that Buckethead cannot do), Paul Gilbert or MAB (too fast)? Or creativity to Steve Morse, EJ, or even Robben Ford (with his perfectly chosen tones)? He is good, but he is not the best. But I agree that the money he makes is no indicator for his talent.

he makes $8 million a YEAR, for a musician that is jackshit! For comparison, Metallica's James Hetfield makes $157 MILLION!
