Weisselklenzenacht (Procol Harum)

Музыка

Matthew Fisher wrote this one as a kind of "The Signature" (AWSOP) and as a follow up for Repent Walpurgis.
My purpose was to let the A100 sound like a pipe organ without the use of samples. I also liked recording the piano part.

@musicman34170 I played it by ear, but afterwards I wrote it down so I won't forget the piece. Because of the author's ownership I can't publish sheets..illegal. It costs a lot of time to ask for permission for this. Sorry.

Thanks! The Lower setting I used was: 88- 888- 8808 It looks a bit odd, but it worked out very good for this one. There was no reason to "fatten" the sound with any samples. This Hammond is really nice!

Rein de Jong Nicer than nice! This is arguably the most beautifully sounding Hammond I've ever heard, particularly its 'creamy' key click.

@JeckOverfull I don't have a guitar and I didn't want to wait for a guitar player, but I can always make a "remix" with the entire length of the song. My channel is called something like "Hammond" ...Of course I'm curious about your rendition! As far as I know there are no songbooks available..

  • @JackPonissi

@HammondDomein Actually I'm not much of a guitarist myself, that's why I uploaded an hammond only version (quite raw, actually) a few weeks ago. However, I've been working on a full five-piece group version in garageband, simply because I'm going to play this with my group once we're ready and we need all the parts down to properly do that. Will upload it when I get some time to properly record a video…

Nice work! Seems we worked on a similar project these days, I should probably upload a version with piano and guitar and a correct ending for the organ part… Did you do everything by hear or does exist a partiture wich I'm not aware of?
