Poor mama. The babies r hungry. It’s amazing how mothers both humans & animals care for their youngsters. I’m sure it hurts but she’s such a great mom

They pull on her to draw down the milk. It stimulates flow. They get milk-drunk from both the feeding itself and from the oxytocin. Oxytocin is a bond-nurturing hormone and both babies and mama get it while nursing. Nature is wonderful. The best medicine for happiness comes from bonding and being together with the ones you love :)

How adorable 🥰 I have Pomsky puppies right now that are 4 days old (pomskies are like the smaller/goofier version of a husky lol) but it’s so cute when they nurse their little tails wag and curl. We only had 3 pups but boy can they eat! Such a cool thing to witness, one of natures little miracles!

It's called kneading & when they stop kneading it's because of what is called "milk let-down." It's not wierd. Milk let-down occurs in all mammals.

Calves will bop their heads up on the udder to promote let-down. It’s funny to see them knocking their heads upwards to do this. You’d think they’d annoy Mom but it’s all part of her job :) All mothers are amazing!

i only know what I've read and that is the whelping box should be the length from the tip of the bitch's nose to her tail plus 12", that way she can spread out allowing the pups more room to get to the teats. All I know is what I've read and in watching this video those measurements would help the pups.

It's called "letdown". It happens in humans too, and most likely in other mammals.

maybe but i dont think thats the case, i think its up to the mothers, just before the flow of milk comes you can see the mother fidget/move in a certain way, and its like this every single time, anyway i miss these days, its close to 2 years ago now lol

All animal mothers can hold their milk for different reasons .Here it may be puppy nails or something else like quite a high number of aspirants .

Mom takes feeding time to clean them potty. That's why she licks during feeding.

Why do you say her cleaning the puppies is “disgusting”? It’s nature. You shouldn’t stop her from doing what comes natural to her. It might be disgusting to you but it’s her instinct as a mother to keep them clean and stimulate them to pee and poop.

yes i was monitoring and making sure they all get the same, some breeds have up to 16 puppies, and yeah only like 8 titts,
