Weird Gaming Tech - The PS2 Ball
Ғылым және технология
Get on the ball. Are you on the ball? Hi, bl3i here with RealPlay PuzzleSphere, the only Ball controller for Playstation 2 I've ever used. Just place the RealPlay Puzzlesphere in your hand, roll, and go!
RealPlay and In2Games did it again. Another gimmick motion controller, but this time.. IT'S A BALL! They call it a "Xeno Sphere". Can't fault their determinitation to present new gaming technology to the population, but as you will come to see, the implementation is a little less than ideal.

Not enough ball jokes thumbs up/10
It's rare for me to find a video about some unheard of peripheral, but on a channel with barely 1000 subs? Never happened before! I'm looking forward for more content, this feels right at home :D

My thoughts exactly!
This has to be the best video I've come across in the last month. Man, this is what KZread should be like (again).
1) You're hilarious 2) I've owned one of these for years but never took it out of the packaging, so I appreciate knowing what the hell it and it's game are
In a KZread full of 1000 million videos about the same Ps2 things, men, this is really something interesting
I liked the unintentional goatse you had in the original thumbnail.
5:15 I never owned a PS2 but if I'm not mistaken, I do believe that means your clock battery is dead 🙃
For something that falls firmly under the banner of being another gimmick, from what I can tell this is surprisingly well developed. The music is excellent and I'm sure with plenty of practice this could actually become something that provides some solid gameplay. Interesting video.
Hoz in post got me laughing. Great video mate. You had fun with ball.
I don't normally watch ball sports, but this was intense!
We have those in our collection too! Even the RealTrak
I sphered this would happen.
Woah!
Just found your channel. Never heard of any of those games and controllers. I want them all. Lol.
lol yea as an American we do say a ball has English when playing pool
Nike glasses. Swag swag.
Was this game/peripheral released in North America?

According to GameFaqs, no. Wikipedia says it was, "outside the UK", but links to a French website.
what's that mouse you have?

It was the cheapest known brand wireless (for the studio area) one available. It's not bad. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01EFVDDH6 - unaffiliated link, but was about £2 cheaper when I bought it.
Nice Video
game kind of looks like ass but that sphere is well animated.
Hey, really suggest you get a scaler, anything at or above the level of a gbs-c. All these games are expecting 0 lag crts, and you're trying them with what looks like 200ms (1/5 of a second), wiuth all the deinterlacing and scaling and digitalising the dongle/tv does slowly, plus flatscreens are slow if that's what you're rocking. seriously, 50 bucks prebuilt from china and you're sussed

@@Galbz883 I cut out a long section of the video testing the lag and mentioning your previous comment extolling the virtues of the "cheap" scaler you mentioned. It did make me laugh you considering it cheap and then me searching for it and seeing it be £70+. My guy, one man's cheap is another man's expensive. I have used this adapter many times and in an old Let's Play series and even used to stream using it... and have never noticed any issue. Plus, to play devil's advocate, the ps2 is also going through a hdmi to usb adapter and into obs too. It very much is not the hdmi adapter that is causing any lag, if perceived. For other consoles that typically only output composite, yeah, I can see why a scaler would be used. But to my understanding, these ps2 boxes, the consensus is they're the best way. A good video to check out is kzread.info/dash/bejne/lIh-z6qlhtG1nbA.htmlsi=X8wC5ij3rGAHYkeV If I were to get anything along those lines, it would likely be a retrotink.. someday. I hope this comment/explanation will alleviate your concerns and stop you from trying to get me to spend money I don't have 😅

@@HoZKiNZ Okok last time I bug you then So haha yeah cheap is subjective eh. But on aliexpress it's under 50 pound, which is a fifth the price of the cheapest RetroTink that can deinterlace. And you're right, it's not good for composite unless you want to be converting it into SCART I think, or for the price difference get a seperate sclaer and have 100+ leftover. Also I had a little dongle like that before, and it was really a waste of money, same logo too i think. Looks great, no settings, and super super laggy. When I switched i started enjoying ps2 so much more, and I'm not a consumerist. I'm here everywhere commenting about it because I feel like i wasted games on the lag. I know this video isn't short but it's definitive and has measurements. You can watch the intro then skip to ps2 kzread.info/dash/bejne/hpiaqNCLXcu1e5s.html&pp=ygUTcmV0cm8gc2NhbGVycyBndWlkZQ%3D%3D Unless you're happy with bob deinterlacing (flicker), then sure there's RT2x for 140 pound, or an OSSC for similar... As far as recording, out of my league, but could you split the signal into two somehow? that CRT looks beautiful

@@Galbz883 I still welcome the feedback and will definitely be looking at the videos and alternatives in the future, especially with wanting to use and record other consoles too, so thanks regardless 😁
