you forgot the most mind melting versions of chess, 5d chess with multiverse timetravel and quantum chess

You forgot to mention that in chess960, the king has to be in between the rooks to allow castling and also the bishops have to be on opposite color squares

Actually theres another way to win duck chess If you don’t have a legal move whatsoever not even a king move Then you are considered fowled and you instantly win the game

There is also mega chess and Quadular

Yes. That's one of the absurd rules about it. No matter where the pieces start, when castling they finish on the squares they would in regular chess. Prior, historical forms of random chess did not allow castling.
