    Please do a prolonged video on oral minoxidil and it’s safety and efficacy, I know you already did a video but it’s use has boomed in popularity lately and many would feel comforted knowing that you doctors approve of it, especially curious of Russell’s opinion as he was involved in original trials.

    You should do a series on the Norwood Hamilton scale and give real world examples so people can identify early (NW2) signs.

    I'm 35 years old. I followed this regime during the last 6 months of covid(Jun -Dec 2021): Intermittent fasting, rigorous exercise(running 7-8 miles on alternate days and cycling 12 miles on days when I wasn't running), topical minoxidil 5% once daily and oral finasteride 1mg twice a week and a 2 min coconut oil massage 20 mins before shower. It helped the regrowth of 80 percent of my hair. Except for a small patch towards the crown, I got all my hair back. The no of grey hair came down to half. Intermittent fasting improved my overall health as I had restricted myself to 2 meals in a 6 hour eating window and the meals were full of nutrition. I was aware of the fact that I won't be able to keep this regime going for long when the world gets back on its feet and regular life would come in the way. No fasting, exercise, oiling, finasteride or minoxidil. And I lost all the hair gradually through the year 2022. I have stuck with a daily 15-20 min exercise routine this year and seen some gain despite having a very stressful situation in my life. I am starting with a 16 hr fast and the oiling routine from this weekend. If things go well, I'll post an update on a future video of this channel. I am deeply thankful to this channel and to both Dr. Jayaprakash and Dr. Knudsen for instilling the confidence in me that the problem of hair loss is not a lost cause. I know that at my age, if I start today, I'll regain most of the lost hair in 6 months with the drugs, but I am not going to use Minoxidil or Finasteride anymore as I was first prescribed these drugs at the age of 18 and I have been using them on and off for close to 17 years. I am confident that I'll be able to keep whatever hair I have on my scalp for the next 10-20 years with the understanding I have received from this channel.

    I'm following this formula 1. Circulation (massage + movement) 2. Nutrition (many resources online) 3. Condition (masks and oiling) the last is optional 4. Meditation It has worked wonders.

    Could you please talk about the effect of swimming, head caps and chlorine on hair? 🙏

  • @Bathrezz1

    @Bathrezz1

    Жыл бұрын

    No effect whatsoever. Your hair is coated with naturally occurring oils that protects it and chlorine just won't do anything to it. The problem with wetting hair will be from blow drying it, that is damaging. And also washing your hair with detergents like shampoo every day will cause damage.

    I also have a question about finasteride. I'm on a 0.5mg/day dosage currently and am wandering if I should do the 1mg monday wednesday friday. Is there any difference between taking 1mg every other day and taking 0.5 every day (because you are still getting around 3 mg a week) ?

  • @takingitslowly

    @takingitslowly

    Finasteride doesn't have a very long half life, so taking it every other day isn't going to give you the same results as taking it daily. But dutasteride on the other hand, has a much longer half life and you could, in fact, take dut every other day and still get visible results

    Married hardly 2 years? I supported my husband (we’d only known each other for 3 months) who immigrated from Greece for about 5 years and through two masters degrees before his career as a journalist began to take off. Although we were never rich we lived in the best part of town and sent our children to very good private schools, not only did I not work once he was established but I had a full time live in house keeper. Because he was very successful we were accepted into the top of Greek American society. So my advice is to be patient. Stop having expectations and help him build up his career. Unfortunately, we divorced after 23 years but have three fantastic adult children and I learned so much about the Greek culture. I’m now engaged to a very wonderful man who’ve I’ve spent 12 years getting to know. This time we are certain.
