For your reference Rainz, JBJ and 1the9 were all temporary project groups. Rainz was made up of Produce 2 contestants but it wasn't the winning group, they just formed a group because they were close to each other and 1the9 was formed from the show Under19. And Daehyeon also has a solo song/MV that he released in between Rainz and Wei called Feel Good.

the visuals of this group are so insane and yeah, the way WEi gave a 2nd chance for 5 debuted idols that came from disbanded groups is so heartwarming. they're really funny too

Their music is so good yet they really don't get the hype they deserve so it's always so lovely to see more people getting into them :') Would really recommend checking out the mv for *All or Nothing* it was their first comeback and is definitely their most hard-hitting title track, I'm sure you'll enjoy it! They also had a song *Starry Night* in collaboration with universe, it's SO good it's one of my favorites, I really really recommend checking that one out too! There's also an mv for their japanese release *Maldives* and fun little mvs for songs and bsides like *Doremifa* , *Ocean* , *Bloom* and *Gift For You* . I would definitely recommend giving a shot to solo stuff from Donghan and Yohan as well! Yohan has two solo releases with MVs *Dessert* and *No More* . Donghan has three solo releases with MVs for *Sunset* (debut), *Goodnight Kiss* and *Focus* . Though there hasn't been any solo stuff from Donghan since WEi's debut, but I'd still REALLY really recommend checking out his solo stuff! I had known him since JBJ and with his solo debut he had instantly become one of my favorite male soloists, his stuff was just that good! His songs had a slightly mature concept which really suited him, and if you like such concepts I'm sure you'll love his stuff! Not to mention he's an insanely good dancer and a topnotch performer who always performs like rent is due! So his performances is always so worth watching! Btw the rapper you liked in twilight is *Daehyun* , the leader and 6:33 12:07 is *Donghan*

Seokhwa was a YG trainee and competed on YG Treasure Box, got eliminated and left YG, then ALSO competed on Produce X 101 as an independent trainee, got eliminated, then landed with WEi! Also, they have another MV for a song called “Starry Night” released thru that Universe music app thing, so you won’t find it on their channel, but it is on the Universe KZread channel, and it is SO SO SO good. I usually don’t care much for the songs groups put out thru the Universe app, but this one is an exception. This may seem weird as a RUi who has bought every one of their albums so far, but it might actually be my favorite song by them….! 😬

Violently underrated Donghan in Bye Bye Bye 😮‍💨

A little bit of context about the members and their past groups: Yohan - ex taekwondo athlete, trained for 3 months before join Produce X 101, ended 1st place on the show and became X1 center. X1 disbanded, he released solo music and then debuted on WEi. Donghan - Participated on Produce 101 S2, was eliminated, joined JBJ, a temporary group formed by popular trainees from the show that didn't make it to Wanna One. JBJ disbanded after their contract expiration, debuted as soloist, joined WEi couple years later. Daehyeon - participated on Produce 101 S2 too, also debuted on a project group formed with trainees from the show (Rainz). After Rainz disbanded he released solo music and then WEi. He is a producer. Junseo and Yongha - competed on the show Under 19 and debuted on the group 1The9 formed by the show (the winning group). After the disband they joined WEi. Seokhwa - didn't debuted before, but competed on YG Treasure Box and Produce X 101. He's also an ex JYP trainee. They are super talented and deserve more recognition, thanks for reacting!

The Produce series was MNET’s survival show before the series scandal broke and they later rebranded/changed to Girls Planet/Boys Planet (I didn’t watch GP, but BP was very much like Produce). Daehyeon (1997) and Donghan (1998) were already OUI trainees when they took part in Produce 101 Season 2 (aired spring of 2017) and each joined a temporary project group with other contestants after the season was over. They both had some solo releases before the lineup for WEi was finalized. Yongha (1999) and Junseo (2001) were also OUI trainees when they took part in UnderNineteen (aired late 2018/early 2019). The top nine at the end of the show became 1THE9, a temporary group with only a one-year contract. They were still under that contract when OUI started teasing WEi’s debut and weren’t able to take part in the filming for the first segment of WEi’s reality show OUI Go Up which started getting posted to their KZread channel prior to their debut. [[I highly recommend checking out their OUI Go Up series to anyone that wants to get to know the members!]] Yohan (1999) and Seokhwa (2000) were both contestants on Produce X 101 (the fourth Produce season which aired in spring 2019). Seokhwa was not an OUI trainee when he auditioned for the show, but joined the company soon after being eliminated. Yohan had only been with OUI for a few months before he auditioned for the show and ended up becoming a member of X1. X1 unfortunately disbanded after only a few months (due to the Produce series scandal), but that allowed OUI to finalize plans and debut WEi much sooner. Oh and Yohan has a couple solo releases now too.

I just saw WEi in concert in Denver and they were AMAZING. They also did a busking event the day before for free and gave everyone a high five before they left. So nice. I was a fan of JBJ so I was already a fan of Donghan going way back. You should check out Donghan's Solo songs, "Good Night Kiss" and "Sunset". They are so good. You would like them. Rainz also had an excellent song called "Turn it up".

So happy you have discovered WEi!!! One of my favorite Gen4 boy groups. All or Nothing their 1st comeback so came out before Bye Bye Bye is their hardest hitting title track so they can really flex across concepts, but definitely them all basically having experience prior really helped in making such a polished group. Oui is a small label so of course their promotions and tours aren't as big as others but they have had two small tours in the US that were amazing, such talented and funny guys. If you want to do a part two I'd react to All or Nothing, Starry Night (Universe release), and maybe some of their solos like Daehyeon's Feel Good (pre WEi release), Donghan's Focus (pre WEi release) and Yohan's Dessert (released 2022). Though they are a small company they have really let the group explore different sounds and each individual's talent.

Thanks for checking out WEi. You got the group and fandom name pronunciations right. The company name isn’t O-U-I even though they stylize it like it should be. It’s just Oui (the French word for yes, which sounds like we [and thus WEi]) Entertainment. I didn’t look at the songs listed in the video title closely and got confused when it jumped from Twilight to Bye Bye Bye; All or Nothing (their first comeback title track) was the one that accidentally got missed. ^^ 25:41 that’s the leader Daehyeon, the first two on the bridge of Overdrive are the 1THE9 boys

If you are up for part two you missed their first cb" All or Nothing", they have a Universe song "Starry Night", also a Christmas song (well 2, both produced by the leader Daehyeon) "Gift for You" and they already made their jp debut with "Maldives". In general they really can do everything so glad you enjoyed their music. Also most of the times Daehyeon will write the rap parts for the tt, on bye bye bye Daehyeon, Yongha and Yohan wrote their raps

WEi members were all on survival shows before becoming a group together. Daehyeon and Donghan were both on Produce 101 and although they didn't debut the companies created two projects group out of the show which was Rainz and JBJ. Junseo and Yongha went on Under19 and both debuted as 1The9 and then Yohan went on Pd101 and debuted under X1 and Seokhwa is the only member to have debuted soley as WEi but he was on Treasure Box! Anyways just some insights they were all under the same company and now they have debuted as a final group.

omg it's so cool to find a whole video about WEi's music videos ahahah As a RUi every comeback is a total surprise because for example we suddently went from Spray to Overdrive ahahaha The album you missed was IDENTITY: Challenge [2nd Mini Album]. Now they made a Japanese comeback, Fake Love, that is completely different fron any other song (including b-sides) !!! Yes I love WEi

You really should check out the full albums that Spray and Too Bad are from, they are amazing!! They also have an excellent cover of (G)-I-DLE's Tomboy that you should check out as well.

First off yes you pronounced the group name right.. When I saw you were reacting to them I was so excited.. Twilight is one of my favorite debut songs ever its so catchy! And last year when Spray came out it became my favorite Wei song and actually its when I knew my bias was Yongha(the one with the long red hair in Spray) and it was one of my top favorite songs of last year! The one hitting the highnote in Spray was Seokhwa boys got some vocals on him!

daehyeon was the one from RAINZ! 1the9 was Yongha and Yohan!

WEi is the only group I stan, so I’m so excited whenever they are highlighted. Thanks. Recently, I decided to listen to some other groups’ playlists just to see what I was missing and why they’re more popular than WEi. Have to say most of them were disappointing (even trying to keep an open mind) and showed no versatility at all. Obviously, I agree with all the comments here. Some other notes that might not have been covered……This is OUI Ent’s first group to promote and they’ve done a pretty good job, especially with production, styling, etc. Also, “Overdrive” was filmed on location in the Philippines. But, to this day, I don’t know why they can’t do English subs. Not having them really messes with the group’s popularity. The playlist for Donghan’s solo career is great and a close second is Yohan’s playlist for his. BTW, Yohan was the leader of X1, having won Product X101 and he’s been the lead in two Kdramas. And, finally, the vocal on “Spray,” was all Seokhwa, who has an amazing voice. Another thing that sets this group apart and, again shows their versatility, is they have some wonderful ballads. In fact, all the songs on all 6 albums are bops. Hope you research them some more.👍

I don't know if you know the groups A.C.E and Xeed, but I can really recommend their discography.. They're both the only groups in their respected companies (Xeed has a little brother group called Vi'enx, but they haven't debuted yet so that's why I don't count them in), and don't have big budgets or get promoted that much but the music is really good.. I can really recommend to check them out 😊 I'm a new RUi myself, started stanning WEi in April even though I knew about them since Too Bad came out.. I also saw them in London in May and they were amazing 💙

A misconception is that Yohan was never the leader of X1. He won 1st in produceX and became the center. The leader was Han Seungwoo.

Ahem I'm being a lil shameless promoting other groups, but you can check out Oneus and Cix. Not only do they have an amazing discography (their tt's won't disappoint), but they are diverse in concept too (sexy, dark, noise, bright, etc [Oneus even does elegant, and traditional _coughs_]). Also Oneus is having another comeback around the end of this month (September) so that can solidify whether you'd like to stan or not :) You can try out Epex and Dkb as well (they have amazing b-sides I tell you). It's a shame that their debut songs weren't the greatest (to me atleast though they are quite beloved in their fandoms). Even Epex is having a comeback in Oct so ^^

And ye I can understand your sentiments of promoting smaller groups. I really like some songs from A.C.E as well (my favs being clover, baby tonight and down).
