These weekly vlogs get me so excited for the week myself 🙂 and so happy you finally get to go home soon
Yeahhhh recognize Tanya!! We love you!! (: And I love the vlogs. They're so relaxing. A hack for eye lashes is to put mascara on, then right after brush through them with another small brush while it's still wet (I use a clean eyebrow brush) and it separates them and takes off the excess. Super handy, and it works with most types of mascara I've tried.

OOO thank you for the recommendation! Will try this
Also love the part where you speak about choosing what you share on social media. I shared that we got engaged but never posted the actual proposal video because I felt that was more personal to us, and that was our choice but I think it's so important for people to do what feels best to them and what makes you happy. Love seeing snippets of your life girl! X such good vibes

Ya I totally agree and LOVE that you mention the thought about " Why do we all think our way is the right way or the only way" so true how we project our experience on others as if it is true for them. I personally find that social media doesn't stop me from being in the moment but rather helps me hold a memory once it is done :) Love these vlogs

Glad this video popped up on my feed today💜 love how you articulated your thoughts when it comes to sharing our own experiences and lives online. I always wonder why people take the time (and energy) to impart judgment. If it opens the door to a thought-provoking discussion or provides a valuable perspective, that’s one thing. Otherwise, why contaminate someone else’s sphere and your own in doing so?? Appreciate you sharing openly and honestly. Love hearing about stuff in the books you read too! Pls keep sharing

I am loving these weekly vlogs Morgan! You guys rock, keep doing what you are doing and f... everyone else's opinion. A very good advice I once heard: Consider the source. That honestly helps to narrow down people's opinion to those who genuinely care for us or we admire, love, appreciate or whatever it is that made them worth listening to. Hahah thankyou!
I love your thoughts on social media. When you read comments it is crazy how people throw their opinion out there and think theirs is the only opinion that can be correct. Or they throw their opinion about your video out there like they have control over your life. I think they forget we are just along for the ride and we only have access to what you allow us to-which is how it should be. On another youtuber’s video people were upset because the vlogger has a new boyfriend. Some loved him. Some said he was not right for her. They said he never did anything for her and their relationship should never work out. Based on a 20 minute video. Unreal!
@MorganRoseMoroney

All of this is so on point. When I first started dating Steve, everyone in his comments hated me. They thought I was too loud, hated my laugh, thought I was immature, a gold digger etc... fast forward 2.5 years now being engaged all of those people have done a flip side and are some of the most supportive of our relationship. It is weird that we feel a part of someone's life. Cool but weird because like you said your whole understanding of that person and their life is based off what they want you to see, which may not always be truely THEM. I know multiple online personalities that are loved & cherished for who they are on social media but in real life they aren't anything like that, and I guess that is why you got to constantly remind yourself that again we are connecting through an online portal.

@@MorganRoseMoroney I am sorry that people put you through all of that. I don’t understand why people watch videos of vloggers that they want to nitpick to death. Geez, just move on and spend your time watching someone you do like. In your videos you and Steve seem so compatible. I have rarely seen two people laugh together as much as you do. While I know, that is what you choose to show us, it is really difficult to fake how much you genuinely enjoy each other. It is unfortunate that people put so much stress on ages. Just because you did not happen to be born within a few years of each other does not mean you can not be perfect for each other. So ridiculous. You were lucky enough to be born in the same lifetime and then lucky to even meet each other. Sometimes for fun I think of 2 crazy people in history and wonder if they could have met if they would have made a great couple. That will take your mind to crazy places for sure. Anyway, I would like to say that you are an amazing lady. I am much older than you but you inspire me. I have a lot of health issues but watching you live your best life reminds me that I have more control over mine than I give myself credit for. Thank you so much for that. Best wishes always to you and Steve, and I hope you are always able to keep the perspective you have on all of this social media chaos. While for now it is your job it does not define you. And you have a beautiful spirit.

Yes of course!!! I’ll go over it tomorrow x
It seems that people just wanted to remind you to live in the moment without feeling like you constantly need to capture content. People are quick to call others haters and dismiss their thoughts (not that you did), but sometimes people comment because they care. I saw the video when you posted it, and without reading any comments, I thought to myself that it was an intimate moment that should’ve been for the two of you. I don’t think that has anything to do with someone being right. You get what I’m saying? Anyway, as long as the two of you don’t think recording affects the intimacy of a moment, all is well. Enjoy the rest of your time in Mexico. :)
@MorganRoseMoroney
2 жыл бұрын
I understand that, but... what makes you feel as if you should determine what an intimate moment is to me? Your understanding of what an intimate moment is TO YOU, may not be the same as mine ❤ What my point was focusing on is, what I choose to share out of my daily life (choose being the most important part, as this is what I do on a daily basis for the past 4 years of my life) is of importance to me only and the people I surround myself with. At no stage do I feel pressured or insist I have to share something I don't/didn't want to.

@@MorganRoseMoroney Thanks for replying and pointing out that people have different understandings of intimacy. There have been times when people later admitted that they had felt pressured to maintain a certain image, so I’m glad to hear you don’t feel that way. I wanted to offer my perspective because feedback often gets called “hate” these days when that may not be the case. I think people just want to make sure that you continue having a healthy relationship on and off the screen because we’re all rooting for you!

Adding another comment to chat about the topics you mentioned because they're all so interesting and worth chatting about. Warning: This is a long one! 1. Why we always think we're right We all grew up with a certain set of beliefs and morals, and in our own environments. I think all this shapes our thinking to be biased in some way or another. So the rules we live by now are correct because they apply directly to our lives and situation. Furthermore, if we realise our way is wrong but we've been living by it for so long, it may be hard to admit. So people go into denial or outright hate just to try and defend their old stance. Humans are creatures of habit through and through! 2. Why we feel the need to comment on other's I recently read that every negative emotion stems from hurt. We get angry because someone hurt us, or we're hurt that someone didn't do what we expected of them. Same goes for judgement and jealousy. When people see what they want, they're more prone to striking out of hurt/hatred. It cuts even deeper when they could've been in that position if they had taken a few different turns in life. And I think that hurts them-that they don't have that and they don't think they can have that. Since they've lost it, they attack those who do. Either because they're hurt, or because they want to pretend it doesn't matter to them anymore. 3. Feeling like you're just going through the motion with life I agree that no matter what circumstances you're in, it can definitely feel like you've hit a wall sometimes. Especially with Covid restrictions, it's so common to feel like every day is repetitive. I've found that doing little things I enjoy and counting my blessings helps to differentiate one day from the other, but it's still tough. I feel like I haven't done anything massively interesting or commendable in the recent two years, which of course isn't true, but the lull can get to you for sure. Hope you feel better after your little switch-ups and incorporating reformer pilates into your routine. It's such a fun but challenging workout. Whoops, just word vomited here. It's nice to chat about things I've been thinking about too!

I definitely want to read that book. I have been thinking about such things for a while now. People share there thoughts and opinions on social media content because you're putting your content out there to the public. The comment feature is there and to expect every comment to be positive is just not the way a large amount of people will react. If people get upset by different opinions on social media they need to ask themselves what they are trying to achieve with social media, because social media is not an echochamber unless you make it so it is (like moderated reddits). I think people feel the need to express there opinion because by putting out a video you are kinda doing the same thing, you are putting it out there, you are doing certain things because you think thats the way things should be. This not really uncommon, i mean couples, friends and family comment on how each others does things all the time, why dont you rinise the soapy water off the dishs, why dont you take your shoes off, etc etc etc life is messy, it can suck. I just try and plan my life so there some kind of established rules and hierarchy but on social media some people are going to agree and some are not.
@MorganRoseMoroney

I was not saying it shouldn't happen, I appreciate most of the comments put on my posts that may not fit with the narrative of the post. What I was focusing on is why we as humans have the thought processes behind these feelings that get turned into comments. The book I am reading is so great explaining this which is what I was mentioning! It says that most people slip into the mindsets of either a politician, prosecutor or preacher. Each of which have different identities and ways of dealing with conflict/opinions etc. I recommend reading it, you seem like someone who it open to understanding this stuff, I respect that.
Hang in there. Can tell the lack of freedom is starting to get to you and Steve. Hopefully you'll get back to Australia sooner rather than later. Are you getting a lot of slack for "not appearing to work" and enjoying such a lavish lifestyle? I feel like you have started talking more about your work life to justify something.... Good luck going forward.
