I picked up bronzed sunset. If you like a coconut suntan scent this one is for you. It is very strong! I also picked up the sesame candle which is a repackage of pumpkin peanut brittle, but that is one of my all time favorite BBW candles.

Melanie, I wanted to mention that there are several sellers I turn to for BBW melts which are great. Most last 2 days for me and their strength is stronger in most cases when compared to my Scentsy wax. Just thought I would mention this since you really love BBW's coconut. You may enjoy waxes of their coconut scents in your warmers!

I know you love the Sicilian orange and I can’t get behind that one but the reserve orange is sooo good I can’t wait to light it up. I finished Crimson & Clover this week and was pleasantly surprised with how much I love it (I love fig)! Started Ice Cream Sandwiches this week too and wowza it’s heavenly. Give the Danbury Shortbread from that BBW Bridgerton collection a sniff. It smells exactly like a sugar cookie. I absolutely love that one! I have never received a coupn from BBW, I have updated my address a thousand times. Maybe I need the app...ugh no more apps! Happy Weekend

@@MrKongsMom Yay! I didn't get any cinnamon notes but cinnamon spiced vanilla sounds yummy, I'll have to try that one next time they offer it. I get a Betty Crocker cherry chip cake mix cake that just came out of the oven before you put the frosting on it, lol.

I'm with you that BBW coupons seem to be random/sporadic in their allocation. Sometimes they come frequently, but sometimes its a month or longer before I get one and I have two accounts. I did end up partaking in this sale because my FAVORITE lemon scent- iced tea and lemonade was available and last year I only got one. After falling in love with it, the only place I saw them was Mercari or Ebay at minimum $30 each. No thanks!

Hey Melanie..happy Saturday! Listen..I found wax melt liners in Amazin that are even reusable and they will change yiur life. Lol! No more cleaning out your wax dishes. Just pop the wax out of the liner and put a new one in or throw the whole thing away. They are so awesome. If you try them, please let us know how you like them.

Ten-fifteen years ago Scentsy wax would last me a week or two. Anymore I’m lucky to get anything to last more than one day. I’ve been using it less and less because I just can’t be bothered to change out wax every day.

I wish homeworx would come up with their own crock of some sort… I LOVE their fragrances but I don’t burn candles anymore (one too many “oops I forgot to blow that out last night 😅”) and while I do the freeze-pop out wax-crack in half and rejar- crock just fine…. I would completely invest in a homeworx sized crock!!!

From BBW I recommend picking up Fiji White Sands and Bronzed Sunset! I don’t think you’ve tried either and they are both amazing coconut tropical scents. 🙂

@@MrKongsMom Vanilla Cloud is very light on cold but I took a chance on it, and it improved to medium under the warmer. I ended up getting backups because it was so nice. Definitely not a powerhouse though!

Melanie, I agree 100% about the Scentsy Club bricks, they not only do not last as long as the wax from their standard bars, they are not as strong as the wax from the bars. Question off topic, my sweet Tara passed on April 25th and I am lost without her. I am being told by so many people that I need to get another dog BUT I find right now I just cannot think of a replacement for her. When your precious Mr Kong passed, how long did it take for you to be open for another?

Oh friend, I am so insanely sorry about the loss of your beloved Tara. It's the worst for the first few weeks without them. So the timing was pretty awful but we ended up bringing Alf home about 3 weeks before Kong ultimately passed. The breeder contacted us as soon as she had a black boy pug because that was what I really wanted. They are hard to come by so I went ahead and committed. I had no idea Kong would be gone so soon after. Losing him rocked my world. He was my soul dog. But I will say that both Alf and of course Penny helped my heart heal so much. I still cried, but they comforted me, especially Alf. He was so young but knew what to do. I think its why we are so close now. He walked me through that really dark time. I think the timing is different for everyone but I will never be afraid to love again in the future. I know Kong would have wanted me to be loved and cared for by another dog. Kong was very sweet with Alf during their short time together. I would have given anything for those two to have more time to get to know each other. I hope you can open your heart at some point. Its different for everyone but if you have love to give and a home to offer to an animal, I think Tara would love and want that. Their companionship really means everything during tough times. Big hugs Michelle. I'm so very sorry.

Also i forgot to mention, when i was at bbw yesterday i smelled the new asian heritage candle Cherry Blossom Soju and to my nose it smells just like the bum bum scent! See what you all think! The store rep said she has that one and ut dies smell like it when burning also! Try it out!

Amazon sells liitle disposable cups that you can use in your wax melters so you just take the cup out with wax and toss it. No cleaning required!

@@MrKongsMom they’re actually a heavy cardboard with a coating on it. I’ve never had an issue with them burning or getting too hot and I’ve reused the same ones multiple times for multiple days. The wax just pops right out when they’ve cooled 😊

Hello! So funny seeing this comment today because I just chopped all my nails off on Sunday lol! They are mine, not press on's. I take these amazing vitamins and have for years that changed my hair and nails. My nails grow crazy fast. But it was getting really hard to type. The product on there now is dip powder by the way. I'm not sure of the brand as I go to the salon once a month to have it done. It wears really well on me!

Any candle advice on getting gray wax halfway through? I had a strong scent the first burn (3 hours), pooled completely. Then the next burns smelled weird and it seemed like the wick soot was falling into the wax causing the bad smell. I read somewhere that the candle was burning "too hot". Do you trim you wicks before the first burn? I just bought 16 3-wicks during the Goose Creek sale and am hoping they all don't have this issue!

I recently decided to try Goose Creek candles, when they had a really good sale. I've been very disappointed as they all are sooting more than any other candle brand that I have tried. I have now burned 5 or 6 from different groupings. The labels are gorgeous, the scents on cold are beautiful, the prices are excellent BUT...they are sooty! I trim the wicks, wipe them gently, and only burn them 2 to 2.5 hours when they totally pool out. I have 13 still in my stash. I will burn them, put under a candle lamp, when necessary, and not buy any more unless they fix the sooting issues.

I don’t purchase from goose creek for a few reasons but a reputation for a messy burn is right at the top of the list. Maybe trimming the wicks is a good idea with goose but I never do that with my other brands. Limiting the burn to just a couple hours may help. Otherwise I’d say cut your losses with the soot and just crock them. I don’t put up with messy burning candles. I retire them to a crock or lamp immediately.

The gray wax is from the wicks. I don't burn Goose Creek for more than 2.5 hours, making sure the wax has pooled out. I do trim the wicks as burning too hot makes them soot. I keep the wicks short. Occasionally, about halfway the wax starts to look sooty, so I have to pour off the dirty wax, let cool completely, trim the wicks, and then light again.

I don't see a review from you of Homeworx Strawberry Kiwi Lemonade. Maybe coming tomorrow?

I think your generalization of vendor wax is not fair statement. It may be your personal experience but just because it’s “vendor wax,” doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be a one day fragrance.

My generalization is based on my experience with several different brands. The 5 or 6 different "brands" or vendors I have tried have all been a 1 day and done kind of deal. That's all. If you love it, you should absolutely enjoy it. There are home fragrance brands for everyone out there.
