What's the first tiny black meter you used please ? I cuted a 2 wires (black&red) micro usb cable, and joined the wires to those of your wireless charging module, using the tiny "T"/"seringe-like" crocos plugged to my digital multimeter. So the 2 wire ends are pressed against each other, not soldered. However both DMM and USB-C-WattMeter on the qi charger end, don't measure any volts. Is it normal ? I tried plugging the microUSB into a USB-fan/load-meter and into a wireless headset and into a TWS charging case. No value everytime...

Darren, love this mod. I have the same headphones and tried it but with just connecting the USB C end to the case itself. It does get really hot though so I was wondering if you would know why? I’m guessing you soldered it to the board for a reason. If you have instructions, would happily pay you for them!

I bought it from an online store in China. It worked pretty well until the left unit lost its sound suddenly on someday after a few months. I bought the Sennheiser MTW2 after that but have not yet added the wireless receiver to the new one.

Can anyone tell me if there is a teardown video of Sennheiser momentum true wireless 3 in Chinese language or not?

Hi! The black sheet I put between the coil and battery is EM blocking sheet(precisely, absorbing sheet). It avoids the ICs affected by the EM wave generated by the wireless charger. Normally there are some debugging nodes on the PCBs of this type of product. I used a DMM to find the GND and 5V nodes with USB plugged in.

I bought it from an online Chinese store, I can't find its model name from the description. But I think a standard QI wireless charging receiver with a similar size coil works fine.

Does the adapter wires need to be connected to those points where you soldered? how do i find out?

I used a DMM to measure the voltage of bare points while USB charging cable was connected. Normally you can easily to find them because the manufacturer need to debug/program it with these bare points.

Are these the originals or the 2nd generation? Can u do this to the 2nd generation using the same contact points?
