Girl, if you feel guided to move into Engineering then do it! The stars will line up for you and give you the proper teacher to help work through your concerns around physics. Don’t worry about the age thing - it’s just a construction of the matrix. When I was in high school, I was very good at math and chemistry but didn’t study going into midterms and my grade dropped significantly resulting in my teacher at the time starting to treat me as if I was dumb by the open opinion she held about me. Later in grade 11, I took math as an option (and no longer as a requirement) and this same teacher saw me in class as she walked by and went out of her way to say I no longer needed to take math and made the inference that I was not up to the task based on the grade 9 performance and because of that negative comment, I unconsciously removed myself from enjoying math and eventually seemed to resent it. But on occasion, if I intuitively do math, I get it right. Don’t let self-doubt get in the way.

I always said if I ever went back to school it would be for architectural design something that I could apply to the mission of helping house people in a more cost effective, safe and ethical way.
