Weekend with my cat🐱Week5:
I woke up early this weekend around 5AM, I found out I left some dishes undone last night before we slept(mostly my cat’s plates). Waking up early you will have more time to think about your daily life, when we review how we have been in the past week, you think about what you could have done better, what shouldn’t have been done and so on.
Waking up at 5AM, I cleaned up the dirty plates, changed my cat’s little bed right beside my pillow ( I do change 1 month once for him, even more often than my own bedsheet). Then I prepared my cat’s dinner and supper first so that when I come back at night, it can be served right away. After a while when I was making my own breakfast, it started to rain heavily but we kinda liked this rainy day as it gave the chilling vibe.

    It almost looks like my own breakfast! Bowl of overnight oats with some powdered kombu and freshly grounded ingredients: walnuts, pumpkin seeds, cocoa beans, dried blueberries, sesame, chia and honey + a small bowl of fresh blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries + a cup of matcha with lemon juice.

    Your ingredients seem to be a lot and matcha with lemon juice? Does it taste alright?

    @@weekendlifecat Oh yes it does, I prepare it the night before: matcha, honey, freshly pressed lemon, and water, of course. I do not put milk in it, for milk sticks to the polyphenols, which alters (not in a good way) the bioavailability (how well your body can absorb nutrients) of the matcha, and all the goodies just flush through, whereas in the case of lemon, the polyphenols found in matcha and the vitamin C in lemonade can have a synergistic effect. Vitamin C is known to enhance the absorption of catechins (powerful antioxidants that help neutralize harmful free radicals), a class of polyphenols found in matcha. I shake it thoroughly, and I leave it to rest in the fridge til morning. Well, in fact, the ingredients were even more, but now I decided to take a more minimalistic approach. I spent many months learning about the properties of every nut and berry in order to create a good porridge, it's been continuously evolving for more than 2 years.

    This is cool, I didn't really do the research about how the polyphenols work. I think I will try matcha with lemon juice soon, I wonder how it tastes like ( not able to imagine the taste right now ), I thought the taste of matcha only goes well with milk. Thank you for sharing so much info with me!

    Videos like this motivate me! And how do you wake up at 5am so easily? I try to wake up early but I always fall back to sleep.

    In this video it's simply because I had too much tea but usually my cat keeps annoying me so I wake up to feed him. :)
