@@turtlellamacow There's public support but also plenty of polls where a good chunk of American citizens would 'rather tackle housing crisis at home' & etc. I think it's how the question is asked. In addition there's a mild group of leftists that oppose military aid on anti war grounds, just for the principle I guess. Generally, USAID struggles to get funding, even tho it's like less than 2% and typically results in massive poverty reductions. Just something about 'giving our money to other countries' - people don't really appreciate the full picture when doing a 3 min survey over the phone - those folks are typically older and more conservative too.

Actually it was to distract from her being accused of being a dick to the children in the show she and her mother made. Didn't pay them according to the contract. Had them sleeping on the floor in people's houses rather than paying for accommodations as per the contract. Had disabled children dancing for 10 to 12 hours days, fudged the school requirements…
