Would like to see John in a Lex Fridman Podcast. Who else? Edit: Seems that there is a demand but not sure how to reach out to them? Maybe ask John in a livestream? I don‘t watch the streams live so somebody else would have to do it.

Lex "what do you admire most of Elon Musk from the standpoint of love" Fridman... This guy is ultra dense cringium.

i feel like lex fridman is the kind of person, jon absolutely despises. he stands for everything in programming/computer science jon hates. i certainly do not think, it would be an enjoyable experience for jon.

I like how this is effectively a demo of what's about to come with his language, once we get our hands on it. Loving it all so far, feels like a fresh take on what a modern language should be.

This is unrelated but your game The Witness has been an experience that shook me. I cannot explain how but Through playing it mindfully, and finishing it, I have experienced things that cannot be put into words, things that are out of this world. Your game teaches hard core spiritual principle through EXPERIENCE, something many teachers and story tellers can never achieve since they SHOW you instead of guide you to experience it. Please make another one.

Launching the graphics debugger inside visual studio would've been enough to step through the draw calls he was issuing. I like Jon but he's often obstinate to the point of cutting off his nose to spite his own face. Doesn't mean he's wrong about the general state of things, though.

what is a graphics debugger? is it just the debugger
@lithium

@@poni-sz2pm No, it's a specific debugger related to graphics. There's a few external ones (renderdoc, nsight, etc) but visual studio also has an integrated one.

He was probably not aware of it. Are you proposing that he keeps himself rigorously up-to-date on the many optional features of Windows etc.? And if so, how would you suggest doing that without wasting too much time?

@@Muskar2 Graphics debuggers are so pivotal to graphics programming that there is simply no way a dev as experienced as Jon could be unaware of them. i can tell that you, on the other hand, have no idea what you're talking about since you likened them to some esoteric windows feature. Pipe down, the adults are talking.

@@lithium Yes, as you could easily tell, it's very far from something I work with - but I was curious and looked up that it's an optional feature in Visual Studio - and in my experience those are very easily missable - especially when you're not a big fan of VS and I'm just busy with other stuff. In retrospect I should've obviously just shut up and left it be, since our dialogue contributes very little value to anyone. But thanks for sharing your perspective nonetheless. Take care
