Couply years ago i was preloading near the skate park... cops told me to just tip them out and head into town. They were pretty chill.
So much changed since we rolled those streets in the late 90s
Doing a great job in Wellington good to see
Thank you for sharing. Watching from the UK.
I'm joining soon let's keep New Zealand safe fam
I was fully going into the Army, but after considering my reasons for wanting to serve (helping people in dire need) the NZ police are much more in line with what I want from a career. Still going reserves though! Can’t wait to get into uniform (both blue and green) 🤙🏻
I have so much more respect for NZ police after moving to Sydney and seeing how police act here. Thank you NZ police!!
Great video, glad to see more on this channel. Awesome to see you out in the community :)

NZ police you do a fantastic job.. Thank you for your service
Awesome mahi guys, I've been in Wellington just over a year now from Queenstown, and I've personally never had an issue. I don't really drink in town, but I'm often a late evening stroller, walking around with the tunes in the ears relaxing and unwinding around Courtenay, Te Aro Park, Cuba, across to the waterfront around Te Papa etc., back through Blair to the busses just before midnight for a ride back home. Love the atmosphere and community here.
Thank you for sharing your work - from Curitiba/Brazil

After having lived in Melbourne for 14 years now, so much respect for the NZ Police. Even after issuing infringements and court dates etc they go that extra mile to serve the public. So much patience. Vic Police could learn a whole lot from NZ.

@@libbysevicke-jones3160 absolutely. Always found them to be lazy and not really approachable. Some, not all. But they're terrible at dealing with situations like decent humans.

1:40 if the alcohol is unopened and in the box then this is not breaching the ban. Only opened vessels count.
@superangrygoose
3 жыл бұрын
Possession of alcohol in a liquor ban area is a breach of the ban whether it is open or not. The only exception is if it has been purchased from a licensed premises and is being transported out of the public space. Even then it must be promptly removed from the public space. So basically if you buy alcohol you can drive through a public space to take it home. The other exception is deliveries of alcohol to a licensed premises.

I got told to walk home once in palmy, pissed on the officers car in response to that but 4 times in NP always been given a ride home after the station. People used to get kfc in the cells overnight too in NP.

@@Ijbvfknnn I've had encounters with the police where I have been thrown in the cells for little to no reason. There are both decent, and dickhead officers, the majority are decent.
@joshyquinn9263
2 жыл бұрын
@@Ijbvfknnn First time I went to the cells was because I was writing on a dusty window, they done me for vandalism? I was trying to object, which resulted in me being forcefully arrested. The second time was when my mum's partner had me trespassed from the house and I was going to be homeless, I threw a book at my wall out of anger, and was immediately thrown to the ground and arrested, done with assault on a police officer, which was blatant lies, but who is the court going to believe, me or the police? Me acting like a 'clown' has resulted to me being thrown in the cells on other occasions I admit. But there have been occasions where it's not necessary. I've heard stories of the police turning of the cell cameras and giving people beatings, they were most likely being fuckwits and probably deserved it, but still, that's a bit harsh and against protocol. Most cops are decent if you just co-operate and don't give em lip. There's also times where I should of been arrested, fined, ect, but haven't.
@joshyquinn9263

I was arrested for throwing a book and done for assaulting a police officer. Can you explain the logic towards that?
very nice NZ police,never forget that discount on my speeding tickets
That's how it's done
This is bloody smart of NZ police. Creating vlogs to humanize police and make them realise they are people too. Especially vlogs nowadays are the way to any 15 year olds attention haahahah
I'd pay to see these cops try to pull this shtick in Vegas.
Auckland CBD going to the dumps. Police presence on foot should be everyday also in the city. Business owners to citizens would feel so much comfortable & crime would also reduce. Just patrolling in cars is not good enough. We the people can see Police are Retreating & are not responsive enough. Gang numbers & confidence is increasing due to Police not engaging & enforcing the law to the fullest. Police have the numbers but the bulk seem to wait at their bases to respond. Why not have more cars & beat patrolling to increase better response time & better confidence in the public view. [ Foot note; We know a lot of crime activities has increased, are due to many undesirables deported from Australia joining the many criminal elements in NZ. ]
Hate to be a cop having to put up with soo many idiots day in day out.. cops have so much dam patience… i would lose it way too quickly and end up thumping some idiot all the time!
I love u
cool
its amazing how nice they are for the cameras, and not showing the revenue collecting, harassment, the cops with egos...seen plenty of those vids. Is this a show with actors?
If you're gonna educate so many people, how about some public awareness?

A 🇨🇦 response, if I may, both the Royal Canadian Mounted Police R.C.M.P./G.R.C.(Gendarmerie Royal du Canada), are equal. Give respect and one gets respect in return, two years ago whilst walking near Auckland's Sky tower. I happened by when two of New Zealand's finest, were trying to contain what appeared as a very belligerent, inebriated individual, swinging his arms around (obviously putting on a show for the two dozen or so, bystanders video recording) I was so impressed by they're, calm, gentle patience, all while they're every movement was being video recorded. Yes they succeeded in escorting that inebriated person into the Paddy wagon, with the least amount of physical force!
You guys need to be armed. Be safe and thanks for protecting the community

10-1 all units, stupid question but do you have to have a clean slate to work for nzp? asking as i would enjoy the job but i got a few convictions and i thought the experience i got from obtaining those convictions will give me a better knowledge on tackling the situation, seeing as you coppers are so out numbered and understaffed. i'm punctual, reliable and WILL get my job done. 10-0.
