Weekend Haul #103 Mini GT, Tarmac, Hot Wheels, M2 Machines, Jada, Greenlight, M2 Chase

Great finds! Yes, the '71 GTO and the '71 Chevy Beauville are magnificent. The GTO casting goes a way back, but it can be done in so many variations! Just a fantastic car. I'd love to see Greenlight do a T-37, Tempest, or LeMans version of this. The "ho-hum" car of 50 years ago, but a total head-turner today. And yes, the Beauville van is classic. I was shocked to find one "in the wild" a couple months ago, and the yellow version with spare tire on rear more recently. These are exactly how I remember the ones from that era, especially before the 1980s custom conversion vans that transitioned to the "old man van" title soon after. A Beauville like this is clean and classic!

Nice haul, thanks for sharing. I can’t believe how many chases you find, I never find any. One reason people leave certain Silver Series cars is because they take only the ones with metal bases. Mattel came up with the, I think, dumb idea of mixing bases in the Silver Series, some are metal and some are plastic. I’ve slowed way down on collecting Hot Wheels and moved to other brands.

I get a lot of help from other collectors for chases and stuff 'cause I can only get out on the weekend. The silver series i'm not impressed by what they're doing with the number 6 car being a chase since I complete my sets so I may not be getting a lot of silver series unless they are all there

Yes I've heard it called Diamond Plate but around here we've always called it checker plate, Thanks for watching!

Yes they are real riders tires. But they could definitely pass as plastic

Never understood why you buy cars you don't like ? I guess it's to keep others who actually like them from getting one ! Kunda a dick move IMO !

Because he’s a collector, and he likes to have complete sets, get it? Collecting can equal parts compulsion and hobby. At least he doesn’t take only the most valuable cars out of multiple sets and leave incomplete sets for everyone else as scraps. Now THAT’S a dick move, and what is happening at most stores I visit.
