My grandad passed on the 28/12/19 and it has been very hard these last two years or so he has been deteriorating and your channel has helped throughout and made me laugh for half an hour and just keep my mind busy. I have arthritis in my knee Dr wanted me to have knee replacement 18 months ago didn't want to so I went vegetarian and now no pain Dr can't believe it and also had lots of pain in my stomach b 4 goin veggie had scans couldn't find anything wrong and now no stomach pain x so please anyone who is suffering with arthritis go veggie give it 6 months and c the difference I tell you even my Dr who's been bone specialist for 30 yrs couldn't believe it x Its very rare I take painkiller I still can't bend my knee or run up and down stairs but no bad pain like I had b 4 x

Wow ,that's incredible Gillian.I have fibro and degenerative arthritis plus get awful cystitis numerous times a year.I'm vegetarian anyway but my mum has been told by so many friends and family about Hemp oil?Am w wondering if that and remaining veggie might help? loving Veganuary. Jack Munroe's roasted carrot, chickpea and garlic soup and her carrot, kidney bean and cumin burgers are delicous (made a homemade dairy free burger sauce to go with the burgers) and some homemade chips..yum!

Joined as a member but when watching on a different device it said I wasn't? Do you need to have a membership for every device you watch from?

There are so many substitutes for meat now that actually taste nice. Beyond meat is great. Icelands do Vegan burgers called No Bull and sausages called No Porkies. Sainsburys do sausages in the coloer bit called Shroom dogs and shroom pups made from mushroom and rice protein with a good texture and in chorizo and Lincolnshire flavour. The shroom pups are little cocktail style sausage and the name is so cute. You can substitute Tuna using Chickpeas or jackfruit. Jackfruit is lovely in a pulled pork style or with hoi sin sauce in rice paper pancake things (cant remember what they're called!) If you like your Chinese and southern fried style party food, try morrisons Like Nuggets and Like Strips. But for 9 nuggets in a box at £2 its not great for a limited budget. Seitan is a good substitute made from wheat gluten (which I can't have) my sister made a meat loaf-esque Christmas main out of ingredients that wasbasically stuffing with nuts. You CAN get vegan feta from the violife range and I am addicted! Holland and barret do a range of soy products from tofu (puffed, silken or firm) and a dehydrated soy mince packet good for substituting the likes of shepherds pie, Bolognese, chilli, curries. You just soak it in water so it swells with salt, soy, and oil for taste and can used it to mix with salad. When you add it to a pan of chilli/Bolognese... add it in last, it doesn't need to be browned off. Flaxseed eggs are really easy ( though only to baking or making batter, not as substitute for say, scrambled eggs) as well as that you can substitute eggs with apple sauce, silken tofu and banana depending whether what your making is sweet or savoury. Read labels, as I shopped for firm tofu to make fried chicken katsu and picked up silken tofu and made a gloopy mess! Linda macartney range make a lincolnshire style sausage that far outshines their other sausage products, the texture is much more sausagey whereas the others look like knobbly poo shape sticks. Have fun with Veganuary. I could eat my weight in hummus.

I know this is random but all I can think about when you (Mark) are talking in your room is the amount of dust on the shelves. I just know that all those figurines aren't dusted and it totally drives me bonkers. I'm not a neat freak but I don't know what it is about that room. It looks like it is closing in on you. Tried the beyond meat - and its fine a little harder to cook than my favourites - i prefer the green cuisine (think that’s Birdseye) or Quorn burgers (for a cheeky sexy burger try the Linda Mccarney mozzarella 1/4 pounders oOOOoooh nice ) all from supermarkets :0)

I had a spicy cauliflower vegan pizza tonight from Aldi that had jack fruit on it. Pretty tasty

The issue with a lot of these vegan food items, is they are not actually whole foods or food closest to their natural state, which is what we should all be striving to eat daily. The beyond meat burger is great but there are something like over 30 ingredients in that burger patty. Try all the wonderful cashew cheeses, I always make tons of white bean dips, guacamole. I got a lot of great recipes in the "Oh She Glows" cook book. Use mushrooms as well, stuffed Portobellos and layered eggplant lasagna.

I bought a chicken replacement called “what the cluck” the other day. I stir fried it with mixed veg. It tasted ok but it was very chewy. I personally wouldn’t recommend it so I will stick to Quorn or tofu.
