I also use sprouting potatoes and remove them the exact same way. I’ve also found that if you peel the potatoes, the green bit comes off too and you’re left with a perfectly fine potato - saves you throwing away those ones as well 😊

You are such a little ray of sunshine! We're all doing very well here, with the exception of our precious Australian Shepherd, who has her good days and her bad days. We know you more than understand. Trying, as always, to grow what we can, do what we can with what we're blessed with and share. You might not see it this way, Vicki, but you are sharing a good bit with people all over the world. So proud of you!

Your comments are always so lovely! Your description of the animals where you live was so nice to read, I can't believe you actually live somewhere so idyllic! We have bright green parrots here, they were kept in an enclosure locally which blew down in a storm years ago. The parrots escaped and should not have survived but somehow they bred and now we have flocks of them flying overhead every day! It's an amazing sight! I'm sorry to hear about your dog, I feel your pain 💗

I have a small 1.6 L slow cooker, primarily used for chicken casseroles. It makes enough for 2 meals but it does have a "hot spot" so I have to move the inner bowl around a couple of times during cooking. Being small it is easy for me to clean.

Great video vicki! Regarding the potatoes they are definitely safe to eat I’m polish so enough said 😂 we eat too many potatoes and none ever go to waste and if there is an area on the potato that is brown or green cut it off and do the same rule as you would with mouldy cheese cut an extra 2cm further off! Don’t throw potatoes unless they are all green all brown or wrinkly and soft hope that helps!!x I also have finally gotten better from Corona I’ve been locked up in my house haven’t left not even for my daily excercise for 3 and a half weeks and I cannot wait to go back out at some point this week !!x

Your pineapple upside down cake looked delicious! I was going to give you the same advice about the green potatoes as probably quite a few have, so I won’t bore you. I’m not stressed, my son is a nurse who’s had a mild version of the virus, and it’s been bad enough for him, my daughter is an ancillary carer for the elderly, it’s a nightmare for her because she’s worried about passing it on to one of her lovely clients. The reason I don’t stress is because, as long as you’ve done all you can to keep it at bay, there’s nothing more that you can do, and stressing won’t stop it. I know it’s easier said than done, but it does make you feel better. My dad had cold sores regularly, I got them a couple of times, they’re not the most pleasant thing! I hope you’re better soon, All of you stay safe and well.

What does Marmite taste like, I hear about it in a few video,s I watch,Just curious? We use ours that way, if its close to planting time, a we will cut a good size piece and plant it, my brother in law plants everything, celery ends of the stock, he puts them in water until they sprout, then plants the, carrots, all root veggies in fact.

It has really savoury taste... Very salty, some people think it's meaty too. My husband thinks twiglets (if you have them wherever you are) are marmite flavoured but I hate twiglets and don't mind marmite. You need a tiny amount.... Too much is just awful!

It was literally half margarine to flour, so 250g self raising flour and 125g margarine. A pinch of salt and pepper, rub together to make breadcrumbs then add a tiny bit of water to bind. Then just roll into balls (try not to handle too much if possible) and pop in the stew 💗
