Hi Emma! Being a mom of 3, I know that each child takes adjustment. Good for you for taking it easy on yourself, and rest when she sleeps. And if she is not crying in her crib, but awake, it is OK to leave her there for a few minutes to see if she will go back to sleep or to finish your task. She is safe, and if content, let her be. She will let you know when she need attention!😉 No you are not alone!!!

Emma I love your videos. I left teaching a year ago and I miss parts of it but not enough to go back. I am starting a new job soon as a reading interventionist which makes me very excited since I will still work with students but not as demanding as being a classroom teacher. Im a stay at home mom over the summer and I feel so lonely and stressed all the time with my 4 year old. My husband works two jobs to cover the costs of the summer months before I go back to work. Its so hard to stay positive when all the house chores and responsibilities fall on me.

I feel the same way about teaching. I left at the same time as you to take care of my grandma, and now I have a part time job as a librarian and I’m loving the life balance so much more. I do miss some parts of teaching but not enough to go back to the stress levels… yeah.

I’m so glad I found your channel! I love the realness of your vlogs. I have a 10 week old and a 5 year old so I’m also in the thick of motherhood right now. So blessed to be their mum but some days are hard!! Hoping you feel more like yourself soon 🩷

Hi Emma! I found your channel when I was in my credential program to become a teacher. I’ve been keeping up with you ever since (you weren’t even pregnant yet). Now I’m a freshly new mom with a 3 month old and I’m taking the next year off (maybe more who knows) ohhhh and I’m also a believer! Point is: I can relate and thank you for your videos 🫶🏼

I just have to say- your hair has SLAYED in this video. So cute! And I don’t ever, ever say “slay”. So that’s saying something. Keep up the great content!!

With the symptoms of the increased drool at this age, needing to rock (ie more upright positioning) during naps, and restless sleep you should definitely talk to your doctor about reflux!

I'm a mom of a 2 year old, due with my second in september. I'm a little afraid of that transition, as everyone keeps telling me two is so much harder than one. But I just recently discovered your channel and find it so comforting to hear you talk about the "mum chaos" while still handling everything very patiently. At least thats what comes across ❤ I definitely feel less alone when I watch your vlogs.

I had two and they were 14 months apart…don’t let this scare you, but when they were both 3 and 4, and 4 and 5 is when it actually felt like we were out of the trenches…BUT when they are older, it is SO much fun. When they are both playing together and you aren’t needed as much, it gets so so good. ❤ you are doing great!!

I felt like I had it all figured out being a mom of 2 to a 2 year old and a 4 month old and then my husband left me when she was 6 months… so a few months later, she’s now 9 months old and he’s 3 years old and I feel like I’m getting back into it. Except now as a single mom. I really enjoy watching your videos. It’s so real and raw but encouraging all at the same time. And exactly what I need each week to stay positive and remember that God loves me and hasn’t left me in this.

I look forward to your videos every week! My baby is only about a week or two younger than Hallie, so I’m right there with you! I worked full time for several years before I had my baby and can definitely relate that I have very little desire to go back and I feel like a different person! Thanks for sharing a glimpse into your life as a young mama!

I have a 2 year old and a 9 year old and it’s still difficult motherhood is not easy, we have a hard job. I am 38 by the way. Being overwhelmed and stress will never go away, wait until they start driving or going away for school. It’s just part of growing up.

I have 2 and I feel like it took longer to feel more settled in life again than after my first, probably around 7 months we started to turn for the better. I think the reason was bc even though I've already been a mom to a newborn, I'd never been a mom to a toddler and working through toddler challenges while having a baby was harder for me. I knew what to expect with a baby, my husband knew what to expect, but my toddler didn't and so that was our big learning curve. I think once we had our baby on a solid 2 nap day and our schedule was a bit more predictable, and the baby was joining in on play amd meals with the toddler it all became more seemless.

Love your vlogs, thank you for always keeping it real! I have so many thoughts 1) I teach for a virtual school and stay home with my toddler and I totally feel you on not wanting to go back to teaching….like no desire lol. I think I got my fill already 2) 100% agree on coming home being way harder than getting out! I try to set things up so I’m not overwhelmed when I get home but it feels like just part of the process. No advice just with you in the trenches!! ❤

I mostly struggled around the 4 months mark and started to feel more "normal" around 8 months. I only have one kid so far but I feel like the newness of the transition wears off and it's like "okay this is my life now." I fell hard down the comparison rabbit hole at that point as well. Once I was able to look back and think "I'm doing a pretty good job," that's when my mental health got better!

I wanted to send you some hope with the “non sleeping baby” situation. I have a 21 month old and 4 month old. My baby wouldn’t nap more than 30 mins at a time and it was awful. I hated it. We finally turned the corner the past week or 2. It’s so hard when they don’t nap.

I am definitely one who watches your videos to feel less alone in mom life. My second is due next month and I am very curious how the adjustment will go for us. It felt like a very long time until I felt like myself again with the first one. I am really hoping it happens faster this time around 😅

Hang in there:). With my first, I went to breast feeding support group weekly for months! I only needed help the first couple of times, then I kept going because I made so many friends, which turned into a play group. (Play group helped soo much after I had my 2nd.) my first didn’t sleep through the night until 9 mos I think. Also, with my second… she slept so much better on her own, even though I loved having her in the room. You have such a good attitude though. She will eventually sleep better;)

Caffeine did in fact made my baby fussy, she had stomach issues, colicky. I had to do decaf for a while and slowly introduce caffeine after a few months…it was horrible

Being a stay at home mom, after working, is really tough sometimes. Even though teaching is very tough, you get joy, a paycheck, and fulfillment. Motherhood, you deal with fussy babies, at times, and it's just plain hard. Cooking and cleaning is just not always fulfilling plus the demands of motherhood. It does get better but it's hard.

I love watching you so much! Google says caffeine passes into breast milk at a very low percentage to baby. Maybe talk with your doctor as a possibility? Babies that are exposed to caffeine via milk should be watched for irritability and trouble with sleeping. I hope that’s not her case though! ❤❤❤

Many don’t want to hear this but sometimes picking up every time they cry is teaching them that will happen. I know you don’t want her waking Jordan and Michael up so that’s a hard call.
