KITTEN WEIGH-IN (00:00)
The official last date for Cantaloupe and Baobob is on 5/15 Wednesday. They will get their spay/neuters at ASPCA and then go off to an adoption event hosted by NYCACC on 5/18 Saturday. Both have stayed with me longer than expected, as usually 30-40 days is the typical length for foster kittens. Cantaloupe was slow to gain weight, so the foster team decided to keep them here a bit longer. This happens rarely since most kittens eat a lot and grow fast, but once in a while you get one that's at a slower pace.
JADE'S GROOMING (01:20)
Should be doing this every few days, but sometimes I forget until I see black fur all over my bed sheets and know that it's time to give Jade a good brushing. She used to hate this brush, but over time has gotten to enjoy it. Whenever I pick it up, she gets excited and knows it's time for a good brushing.
COPPER'S BREAKFAST (02:13)
This past weekend Copper had some diarrehea, unsure from what but probably from eating kitten poop. I have some packets of Fortiflora on hand just for these situations. Lately, I've also been making more veggie molds as prior to this, I was giving him peas, carrots, and broccoli. The problem was he would eat too fast and never chew it properly. Now that I've blended them all together, it makes my life easier as I can prepare them in bulk ahead of time, instead of buying new vegetables every week.
