COPPER'S BATH (00:00)
This week Copper got pooped on my two birds TWICE in the dog park. First one was on his harness, the second one right above his eye. I originally thought he got mud on his head since it was raining the past few days, but then noticed a green color of smudge on his coat. Luckily, he wears the bandana so it's always handy to wipe off. During the spring and summer, odors are easier to detect and I have to give him at least a bath every month. The dog park we go to has so much dirt, dust, and dog drool - when you mix that together he gets super crusty and it's gross to bring back into the apartment. Even Jade sometimes looks down on him at how dirty he gets!

Cantaloupe and Baobob leave here on 5/13 Wed after 53 days in foster, so this video is my second to last one with them. They stayed here longer than most fosters, since Cantaloupe was gaining weight slower than usual. But both are well past 2 lbs so it's time to move on. After returning on 5/13 Wed, they are scheduled for spay/neuter surgery in the Bronx, and then attending a mobile adoption event on 5/18 Wed with the NYC ACC. Kittens usually get adopted right away, so I'm not too worried. They are also starting to annoy Jade with their antics, thinking she is also a kitten that wants to wrestle all the time. She ends up hissing at them, so it is a good time for them to move on.
