KITTEN CONFIDENCE
Cantaloupe and Baobab are finally getting the confidence to explore the apartment and sleep outside the foster room. Initially, Jade was bullying both of them since I sort of rushed the introductions versus exchanging blankets, swapping rooms, and doing it over the course of a few days. Baobab (grey/white) is a bit scared of her, but she is grooming them now so they should be friends soon. It’s funny how even at 6-7 weeks of age they already have different personalities. Cantaloupe usually follows in Baobab’s footsteps, so if her sibling is confident with Copper or Jade, she will follow along.
SPRING CLEANING
I’ve been cleaning out some old electronics and selling them on eBay - GoPros, cameras, and more. Since smartphones innovate faster than camera companies, I’ve found my iPhone 14 to be much better than a DSLR or mirrorless camera from 2019/2018 for the type of videos I capture. For cats, kittens, and dogs, you simply don’t have the time to change lenses, adjust shutter speed, or widen the aperture. The 0.5 to 3X zoom on most smartphones is enough to do what you need, and nobody is doing to care if it was captured on a cinema camera or mirrorless.
WRESTLEMANIA 40
One of the greatest storylines for the past two years had the conclusion this weekend. Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Heavyweight Championship. After thinking about this match, I’ve realized both Roman/Cody are driven by family legacy. Roman wants to live up to the Anoa’i dynasty and pull everyone to the top. Cody wants to define the Rhodes dynasty and be on the top. In some ways, both characters are very similar and after the same thing - but they just approach things differently. The family legacy is also very real, which makes the resolution of this story even more wonderful.
