VET CHECKUP: Sokka & Suki are now over 2 lbs and 7 weeks old, which means our time is coming to an end in two weeks. In NYC, kittens must 2lb and 2 months old to be adopted - fostering is the only way to get kittens this young unless you find them out in the street. For these two, I socialized them much earlier than previous kittens, and they do much better around Copper than previous litters. At 4-5 weeks old, they have no idea what a "dog" is and are much more curious than afraid of things. I've found that if I wait until 5-6 weeks to socialize, some kittens may just never like being around him.
KETTLEBELLS: Recently purchased some 15lb and 20lb kettlebells for mobility exercises at home. As I get older, I notice my joints and movements are less flexible and need to switch things up. With back-to-back meetings, I can't always go to the gym with a 15-30 minute gap. By having them near my desk, I can squeeze some quick exercises in without having to put on shoes, prep a water bottle, go downstairs, check my headphones, make sure the gym is empty, etc. With zero friction there's no more excuses to be inconsistent with exercise.
MORE SUNLIGHT: We've officially moved the clock forward one hour and now sunset is pushing 7PM. Still adjusting to the change, but I've been sleeping "later" and still waking up around 5AM-6AM every day. This is the most amazing time to be outside in NYC as the streets and parks are empty. People that spent the night out are already stumbling home, and it's just the early risers out there. Even if you bike around the city, the lanes are empty and it's an incredibly relaxing experience.
