no worries! it just happened to be that i hung out with a lot of people from the christian korean fellowship in this video (neither of which i identify with lolol but i have a friend who is close friends with a lot of people in it) as it was time to get on the study grind haha. it's definitely a fair question & i would recommeng checking out this reddit post for a variety of different insights: www.reddit.com/r/McMaster/comments/7kx4eh/just_curious_on_mcmaster_demographics/. i would say that the school is definitely quite diverse - with people from different ethnic & socioeconomic backgrounds. you'll be able to meet a lot of people that are similar to you but also way more that have drastically different experiences

I was like you thinking of uni so early on but a little piece of advice (I’m going into grade 12 now). Don’t stress you have lots of time to worry about that stuff. Even when you get to high school you have lots of time to figure out where you want to go (unless you want to go to an American school). If you’re interested in Canadian schools then thinking about this stuff in grade 11 is considered normal/early. Good luck!

omg so sorry i never saw your comment! one way that i found really helped with my procrastination was time-blocking (there's quite a few articles and videos online about it) but it basically makes your more inclined to start working on tasks earlier and helps you choose productivity over wasting time x

Do you think you could've done this at home whilst living with your parents? Like attending classes and then going back home to study. I'm asking because I'm not sure whether I should get a dorm or live with my parents for the first 2 years. I'd appreciate the help!

hey! for the majority of canadian universites, you can only live on campus for first year - it's definitely doable (i have a few friends that commute as well) but it'll also depend a lot on how far you'll have to go, how much it costs etc. living on res was a great experience that i would definitely recommend, but i totally understand financial costs may play a large role in this decision xx

there is only enough room for first years to live on campus, and then after that you have to go find other living accommodations in the city. it's like this for almost all canadian unis

hey! honours is just extra credits (ie. doing a 4th year thesis vs just doing 3 years)

yes i do! if you're living on res you're required to get one :) honestly it's a bit confusing how it works so you're better off finding on info online than me trying to explain it haha

hey! i take 5 or 6 courses/term. i think the possibility of working part time depends on what courses you are taking and their course loads. if the load is lighter, it shouldn't be a problem, however, more intensive courses may pose a challenge if you're pressed on time

As I am a international student So ryerson is going to cost me around 32k per year And mc master is going to cost 50k per year And plus I will live at my relatives place for free if I choose ryerson And if I choose mc master I have to pay my own house rent and food cost So should I choose ryerson Or mc master?

LOL honestly i'm not sre but if you search it up it's the only one that mcmaster allows in final exams

A few questions. I will have a 91 average for my grade 12 top 6 including prerequisites. My ECs; top-level academy soccer for 10 years, co-op accounting firm, own clothing brand, licensed soccer referee(part-time job), worked as a soccer coach for 3 years, created my own club at school, took part in DECA and robotics (minimal involvement). I’m stressing about getting into Mcmaster for business. I know it’s hard to ask but do you think I will get in?

bruh i just saw this oops :o one of my friends is in a club for christian koreans and i studied which them a few times this week which is why a lot of them were featured in this video (even though they're more just my acquaintances). that being said, this meant that i didn't get to see a lot of my non-asians friends, as you only have so much time outside of class. please keep in mind that these videos are just a short glimpse into my life and there's a lot that you don't get the chance to see :) if it makes you guys happier then i'll be sure to include them in future videos x
