God I felt so bad for Dir3 after the Ghostface set. I watched that game on Wispy's stream and Tremor was ridiculously childish in the VC when the decision was explained to them. A restart and -0.5 stages is a much more lenient penalty than I would have given and is not deserving of that level of tantrum from the players. Huge props to Dir3 for remaining professional throughout the whole thing. Much love to the dbdl staff too, the penalty and disqualification were more than justified and I'm sorry you had to be put in such a difficult situation to begin with ❤

End of the day, what's done is done. You guys were literally standing on a razor's edge that would "hurt feelings" on either sides. It would be different had people not known what was going on. Issue is, this was a game-wide bug as well, and as much dbd as these players play, ignorance to the rule isn't a defense. They knew, they benefited from it, and were upset they were held accountable. You guys are still legends and are a pillar to the community for us who want to see the best dbd the game has to offer. Still love you guys, I could only imagine how hard it was. Ya'll are still legends

Taking responsibility for players actions as a staff member is harder than I can imagine, and I had imagined it was very hard. The actions taken, the consistency of actions, and the level of transparency, and explanation to chat like peers of how these decisions were made shift disappointment for the circumstances to disappointment at the players. No one will ever remember this as an event on Dir3’s head, but an event on sportsmanship, and how the league made a series of responsible decisions to help resolve a most abrasive incident.

Thank you DBDL for being open and transparent. Tremor was completely out of line, challenging the authority and integrity of the league. You guys did what was necessary. Its unfortunate that this will have league wide impact but it is what it is. I hope Tremor can grow from this as they seem to have this kind of drama in any tournament I've seen them in (particularly wispy). Once again thank you and looking forward to the future matches!

Knowing how sweaty and childish Wispy is, I am like 95% sure he did it on purpose because they were losing. What a pathetic joke of a pro player.

Correct decisions made imao. Maturity and respect are necessary for a healthy competition.

Tremor is not cut for competition. I watched two DbD videos uploded today and in both of them wispy has chosen to leave the game. He is such a crying baby.

this is 100% fair. I don't know how they expected you all to handle this? to just give up completely really shows what kind of team they are. I'm sorry this happened Dir3 we all love ya and support you all at DBDL regardless. If they want to react like children over a bug they were warned about, good riddance. Nobody wants to watch a team that just gives up like that anyway. Much respect for how you guys handled the situation. Hopefully we will see a more mature team next season

I really do think Wispy needs to step back from this community until he learns how to mature as a person, especially since it seems like he wouldn't be able to watch many of the horror films that many of Dead by Daylight's Killers originate from without parental supervision.

huge respect standing by your rules laid out before hand and banning the team trying to subvert them. huge respect and prevents teams from trying this in the future. my question is how does this vacancy in the roster of teams affect the tournament now? could always start pooling teams from NA and Asia, just a thought.

We are constantly looking into expanding into all regions; with the servers and the ping, it is certainly not easy, but we will keep it on our list!

Seeing so many matches like this where wispy has been unprofessional had already made me dislike him. But now at this point I can't even bring myself to do that... he's a great player, but we gotta realize he's just a kid that's a bit too prone to throwing tantrums when things don't go exactly his way 🫤 so there are 2 paths here: 1. He will stay upset and won't return to the league again. 2. He will eventually mature and come back ready to accept the league standards. Either way, I think this suspension was for the best.

Dir3, you have a very nice voice and seem like a wonderful person, thank you.

All yt matches are uploaded quite a while after they have been streamed on twitch.

I feel like the worst part is it's a bug in the game! Not really linked to either side rather than something that needed to be patched some time ago! I feel for all parties but really the fault is ok BHVR at the end of the day imo. Probs to y'all for keeping composure thru it all 👊🏿

Well, in any competitive sport the first rule is: the referee is always right. Especially if it is a committee, not one person. Even if one does not agree, arguing against is always penalised

Because of this being a known bug, it had been ruled that letting them unhook was what they were supposed to do. Obviously, this is not a perfect solution, however it was something they were made aware of in advance of the game.

The door block at first was not the issue. The issue seems to have occured when the nancy already got the animation to unhook but got canceld because Ghostface kept moving into the hook. And unintentional or intentional this triggered a bug they've been warned about beforehand.

TBH he was CLEARLY trying to use the bug in his favor after one survivor got past him and was there to get the unhook and he held W into the hook

I want to clarify some things: 1. The Blight bug affects one character that we can remove from the tournament stage 2. The bug around the hook is not linked to Ghostface nor the map 3. The players were specifically advised to be careful

Nobody has accused Wispy of cheating; you can hear that in the explanation and see it in the written statement. Wispy is considered responsible for the bug's occurrence, yet nobody has said that they did it to play an unfair game.

It is unfortunate and it does suck. But I have literally never seen Wispy win one of these 'hard decisions'. I completely understand the decision but as trem9 fan it's sad but fair. Edit: The DQ does feel a bit over the top

Tremor leaving the match is incredibly disrespectful to all the staff as well as casters and team Trauma members who have taken time out of their day and worked hard to make the event and match possible. It's just pure arrogance on Tremor's part to value their own time so much higher than the organizers'. If they aren't DQ'd, what's stopping them from doing the exact same thing next time they're losing, if the consequence is only forfeiting the matchup they already know they're not winning? (Although here they very well could have still won, they just decided to baby rage instead)

DQ-ing tremor was never even on the table until they chose to ragequit the match and server. The rules committee was already giving them a fair decision

Wispy seems absolutely in the correct here. The bug was entirely unintentional, and he was doing a completely normal action.

Unintentional or not, they were made aware of the rules surrounding the bug in advance. They were given a lenient ruling because they could have forgotten about the bug in the moment. That being said, while I think Tremor was out of line, I also am simpathetic to the age of the players. They are young and probably take these games very seriously. They just need more experience in controlling their emotions, in my opinion.

If im not wrong, Wispy has done these types of hook bugblocking shenanigans before. The situation would be clearer as an accident if wispy had never done this before but since it has happened in the past its harder to tell if it was just a mistake or some sneaky play disguised to look like a mistake.

If you can block 2 survivors from unhooking then it is a bug and can't be a normaal action. He plays it 24/7 and knew about the bug, it was intentional. He stood there knowing it.
