Hi Peter, The deviation in roll is most obvious while moving and in a bend. Like in a car. On a few occasions I filmed someone in a car. The roll was really offset when the car turned. And that is the point they mentioned in de what new in 2.07: "1. Fixed issues that cause the roll axis to deviate when making a turn at a fast speed or moving horizontally." So I will certainly update.

I like these videos on firmware update of the weebill S. Always good.

Hi Peter Thanks for all your sharing and in-depth testing. Your videos have been very helpful in my learning journey with this gimbal. I just bought the Weebill S with firmware 2.03 installed. I'm using it with a Sony FX3. I have balanced the camera thoroughly and the first time I turned the gimbal on, it worked very well. However, I wasn't able to record using the included cable. So I thought I would update the firmware to the latest version (2.07 now) as the notes mentioned the FX3 was able to work with it. After update, the motors on the gimbal started to vibrate even when it is placed stationary on the table. And still not able to trigger the record. Could you share any insights you might have please?

Hello Alvin! I'm also in use of this Gimbal and you can do this: In the options of the camera, there will be a settings which is including "USB-Control-Mode: PC+Camera /+/ PC (only)" this is the very important setting that you have to make at first. After that, you can go into the Camera-Option in the menue of the gimbal. This is strange, but - the days that I had the v2.03 running, I wasn't able to control my camera (Sony Alpha 6600) with any of the Sony-Options (Sony-USB; Sony), but ... the Camera-Option "PANASONIC" worked. (?! Don't ask why, just accept that.) So, you can try every camera-option in the menue and have a try. However - it's more different, if you use the TransMount Image Transmission Transmitter!!!! Only in case you use this too - the USB-Pot on the TransMount is with the little USB-Type C included, so you can also test, if the camera-control is functional, if you plug in your normal USB-C cable into this port. Don't forget to choose "CCS" in the Camera-options, to make this option working. At least - at v2.05 as well as 2.07 the problem with the record-button on the gimbal, was fixed and the "Sony" Camera-option is working since then. You can feel free to test the other options in this menue, because you can't demage anything on your hardware, it's just the way the devices are communicating with each other - so nothing more or less could happen, that the gimbal talks chinese, but the camera is still talking in english and don't understand a word - in figuratively speaking.

Horizonally is when you are running next to someone one filming them from the side i am on older firmware and notice it filming running shot of someone cycling

In 2.07 update the manual focus sensitivity always sets itself back to low after turning it off,than on. Imleaving mine on 2.06 its better!

This issue has been driving me nuts but I talked to Zyhiyun support and discovered a workaround: Start your gimbal, go to motor and do an auto tune, then change the motor sensitivity setting to whatever you like... NOW it will remember your setting. It's weird how that works but it works 😃

Hi Peter. Hope you can help solve my issue with GH5. I no longer have ability to see/change f-stop, ISO etc. with gimbal. Wondering if it's camera firmware (2.7) or Weebill firmware that changed this functionality or if there's a setting I missed. Thanks

Hi, "2. Fixed issues that cause manual focus and digital focus to work at the same time when setting digital focus with the handle." is indeed fixed. Problem was: if E-Focus was selected, the follow focus and e-focus were turning at the same time. Now it is as it should be. But E-Focus is still not usable at all... the lens focus turns into any direction and jumps like crazy to any focus position when slowly turning the Weebill wheel.

@@PeterMakholm But there is another new bug with Canon cameras on v2.07: when hitting Record on the gimbal while cam is connected with USB, camera will crash and needs battery pull. So the new firmware works just when not recording or when not using USB connection. v2.05 is without this bug.

I have experienced some real trouble trying to pair the gimbal, and got some events of sudden unpairing of the Canon EOS SL2 even during a steady shoot and specially when we put the gimbal to sleep or the camera to shut down or auto-off: update your firmware, this last one solved for good this issue.

My GIMBAL starts vibrating after 2 weeks of not using it with my sony a6400 and sigma 16mm 1.4. Earlier it was working well with no vibration issue. HELP HELP

Hello Peter, for sony they gave parameters for newer models, but not for older once like A7iii 😑 idk what's prb with zhiyun for giving weebill s, sony parameters adjustment for all models.

hi pete, I'm still having problems even with this new update. The horizon will somehow tilt a few degrees off each time I pan the gimbal, sometimes it goes left, other right. Just dunno how to fix this! Any tips?

Hi can you help I got the weebil s I can't get the rec button to work on the a7r v if I press record on the weebill s don't work if I press to recall button on the camera and press the record button on the weebill s it will turn the rec off but it won't switch to recording on the camera from the weebill s

The Wheel sensivity is not saved, so each time you restart the gimbal you need to set this again, which is really annoying.

Hi. I do not want to turn the handle in vortex. But when you are moving with the gimbal you can’t hold it perfectly still and that is the problem with the vortex turning. if you turn the handle that will be noticeable in the footage.

How do you think if i buy this gimbal in 2023 for my sony zv e10? And is it compatible with my camera?

Hello. I am a subscriber of your channel. According to your review, I bought a Weebill S steadicam, during operation I noticed that the motors make a sound. The sound is like the rotation of motors, so hissing. Tell me it's ok

i own the Weebill S since good 2 Years and i was happy ( with Nikon Z7 ) but now since i sold my Z7 to get the Z9 its getting more difficult! I can mount the Z9 to the Weebill S but the camera is to high so it can´t get balanced perfect! ( its headheavy now ) the motors are strong enough to handly the unbalanced weight but its no solution for long time use ! Any idea how to balance the Z9 correct oder do i have to buy another gibal for the Z9 and wich one do you recomment ! ?

The same is happening here. A have to change the tilt motor force to 5.

Is inverted mode now possible with this new firmware? What you said along time ago it only can with the 1.95 firmware or is it now possible with the 2.07 one? I think it is possible but the reaction time is slower then in normal mode so idk if that is normal but..

It happens with all firmwares , with zy play app and without too , when u set te a and b point , it will move to point A at the middle of last shot , so it becomes blurry ,

Anyone have issues with the gimbal turning on after this update? When I power on, the gimbal goes straight to sleep and says "upgraded ✅" getting frustrated.

@@JoeSzilagy yeah it’s kinda weird how you have to connect then exit. That’s the part it was losing me at.

The motors on my Weebill-S suddenly stopped working. The device itself turns on fine, but the motors won't engage. I've downgraded, nothing. I've upgraded again, still nothing. In the about>firmware menu it says v2.07 and ID:0000. When I search the web for people with a similar problem I find a handfull, but no one has found a sollution. Zhiyun says to send it in for repairs, which would cost me around the same amount of money of buying a new one. If it really is a hardware problem with the motors, I reckon Zhiyun is crap and I should have gone with DJI...

I have a solutioin. Use the "USB to micro USB" cable instead of the "Multi USB" and choose Sony A7SIII in the camera configration. It work you have acces to ISO,AV TV EV setting directly with the weebill.

I bought this gimbal this week and upgraded to the 2.07 firmware version. I immediately found that the selfie mode did not work anymore (triple press POV button). I downgraded to 2.06, same problem. I downgraded to 2.05, same problem. Then I downgraded to 1.99, and the problem was fixed. Seems any 2.xx version does not like selfie mode.

@@PeterMakholm Oh, I see. They did change that then, because it was POV button, and that's what it says in the manual. I'd have to try that, I'm not sure if that's an improvement or not.

Hi. I can assure you that the a7iii (a7M3) works with willbee s. My gimbal came with FW 2.05. Make sure to turn the USB Connection to "PC Remote" on your Sony cam or it will not work. And do not forget to turn off the "Ctrl with Smartphone" on your sony camera. You will find this setting on your Sony cam under menu/Network1/page1. Then use the supplied micro USB to USB-C cable. In the Zhiyun menu under settings/camera you will find two settings "sony" and "sony-usb". Choose settings/camera /sony-usb/s7iii. Then you will be able to record, change aperture and control the shutter speed, iso and whitebalance. I hope it helps.

Only thing I was looking forward to was the addition of Portrait Mode, guess I’ll have to sell my Weebill S and get the M3 for that. 😕

check the reviews from users. m3 has burn in screen, difficulties to balance, does not work with the 28-75 lenses, cables are too short, a7c cannot be controlled. i would do a pass on m3 if i was you.

@@CC-gt3ro I already got it, have balanced the 17-28mm, 35mm f1.8 and the 85mm f1.8. I don’t own the 28-75mm and have not connected the A7c to it because typically don’t control it with the gimbal (mainly a habit from previous camera that was not supported). I haven’t had the other issues you list

@@9adriano21 plenty of persons have confirm the burn in screen with the crane m3. I read a lot of reviews from germany, and other countries. It just a question of time. Also oled screen in general doesn’t like direct sunlight. If one icon stays on the screen, the display will keep the trace of it. For example the battery charge icon. Apparently there is no pixel shifter tech, or screen saver. It is generic to all oled display. There is no exception. Your screen will have the defect if you keep the screen identical for a long period of time. They should switch off the sceen after 2 or 3 seconds. I have an oled vr headset, it is still ok because my image always change, and i don’t have an application that keep the same text at the same location. But on a gimbal, using oled screen is not a good idea.

hahaha theres no way you can see the "deviate" by looking at the cam and gimbal, you should have look at your footage
