Boxing can be rather exciting when you don't stack the deck for one guy.

Akitsugi put on absolute master-class! Ego-head Tim, gave him crap for not having many knock, outs and even said he won't knock the Mex fighter out? AGAIN Tim ate his STUPID words. Akitsugi didn't even have a full camp and put on a masterclass with the TKO finish!

I think the fact that he's been fighting almost exclusively 6 rounders is behind his extreme low KO percentage. A volume puncher needs the full length fights to accumulate the damage.

Finally got to watch this. A kits I go is not Loma, but he sure is slick! I enjoy watching the skill on display.

Great fun to watch Katsuma Akitsugi and Najee Lopez as both men have a masterful understanding of distance. Akitsugi doesn't have a big punch but he stays right in the kitchen, slippery on defense, busy on offense. Lopez controls his opponent like a praying mantis.

35:58 can a more informed boxing expert tell me why Goodjohn’s gloves look bigger than Mindoro’s? Maybe it’s nothing but personal preference but one set looks pillowy af

Yes, it's a personal preference thing. The various different makes of gloves have slightly different qualities. *Reyes* , for example, are famous as "punchers gloves", somewhat smaller at the same weight and filled with horsehair instead of foam - they likely give you some extra pop, but you do risk hurting your hand. *Winning* gloves have the opposite reputation as "pillows", big in size and provide a lot of protection for the hand. And the rest fall in various places in between. If you are a volume puncher and maybe risk your hands throwing clubbing shots and use a high guard alot, bigger and softer is probably the way to go, but if you are looking to land big counter bombs, or wear a guy down punching around his guard, the smaller harder gloves would be. In truth though, the difference is sometimes exaggerated, and most choose their gloves on feel and fit and support around the wrist, even the shape, and will happily change if they get a new sponsor brand. Mindoro is using *Grant* , which are a classic "boxer-puncher" glove, often worn by heavy hitters, but not quite as extreme as Reyes. Goodjohn is using *Rival* , which are known for providing great hand protection without feeling excessively "pillowy".

Can't stand the new presenter guys voice.Grating.

This Akitsugi has to move his head off the line and learn to throw feints. He does a good job turning guys.

Lopez a strong fighter but slower and has to be planted to punch. And doesn't use his size reach and height.

I wish these "expert" announcers would just shut up for at least 5 seconds per hour of boxing!!
