Really? How is that unbelievable? I swear sometimes people just over hype and praise actors for the stupidest things. All she was doing was flailing her body around and bugging her eyes out. I wish they would have gotten more of her tribute to Lisa Loring. She was just starting Lisa's Wednesday shuffle and the camera cut to another angle. Jenna did some outstanding research into her dance moves and they all came together perfectly.

As a huge dance nerd I'm beyond impressed that she choreographed this herself, this references Fosse, Flamenco and the dance that OG Wednesday did in the original television series. There are seasoned choreographers that wouldn't be able to do something half this good. On a totally shallow note, her arms are PERFECTION. The control she has to throw them about with abandon and then pull in for small, controlled movement is a skill that lifelong dancers work forever to hone.

The confidence she had and getting it done. She scored that dance floor. May I go to practice I love the dance. She was perfect for the role.

The fact that she said in an interview that she made the choreography herself blows my mind... the whole dance is so impressive. She is definitely perfect for the role.

Its even better than that. Apparently she was asked if she wanted to choreograph the dance herself and she said sure. 2 Days before the shoot she completely forgot that she agreed to choreograph and so in a spur of motivation spent the next two days straight, sleeplessly researching different dance moves. O and she also had COVID during this....which is a dick move on the directors part.

I thought the same thing when I watched this series. I enjoyed this series and here I am 60 watching something that could be for teenagers. Some dance scenes can be so memorable if done well. Another Example is Pulp fiction dance scene with John Travolta, Risky business dance scene with Tom Cruise. It's all about the music, Choreography, and how well the actor or actress performs it.

Fun fact: she was not confident at all she was extremely nervous because when they were shooting the scene they did not have the fog, dark lighting, other people dancing around it was just her dancing infront of everyone and the effects and people dancing in the back were added later they were also using a over head camera that was extremely close to her face and the extras and other actors just stood by watching her dance. The moves were 🔥, but what sold this scene for me was Jenna's PERFORMANCE. Her eye contact, the staccato 60s influence, the Fosse arms and the musicality to match the movement to the rhythm.
