Good video but I do have to disagree on the cash part. Most Asian weddings I've been to only give out cash or money to the bride and groom. I was a maid of honor at my best friend's wedding in August and my husband and I gifted $300 check. Only 2 people brought gifts to the wedding. Everyone else gave money in envelopes. My husband and I will be having our wedding next year and we will not be having a gift registry because we don't need anything for a home. We would like to get money or cash to fund our first house. We are living with my parents at the moment and would like our own place. We also plan to save up for our home and save all the money we get from the wedding to put down as down payment. We aren't doing a honeymoon fund because our wedding is already a honeymoon/vacation. We are having a destination wedding in Hawaii.

Not sure why I'm 25 videos deep already I'm not getting married, nor interested in weddings in their modern form. However its really enjoyable watching someone knowledgeable discuss their field in depth and explore all corners of it. I tip the hat to your level of attention to detail on various fronts here mate. Good luck with the channel.

Some cultures only give money as gifts. If it is a cultural thing would it make it better to put that information on the invitations?

I am not sure, in that case. In the US, I have just only ever heard never to put asking for cash on an invitation or the registry. Maybe ask some invitation designers or wedding planners who are from that specific culture or knowledgeable about it :)

Love your channel! Hey off-topic question. How do you take payment from clients. Im just starting out. Do I just set up a PayPal? I heard the fees aren't good. Would love to hear your expert advice on this.

Get a professional client management software like 17hats that you take payment through. I only accept checks or bank transfer via 17hats which uses Square. I do not accept credit cards via Square due to the fees.

For the honeymoon activity funds how do you do those? Is there a site that you can set them up on and does that site take a portion of the dollars contributed? How do you "cash out"? We are going to London and Paris for our honeymoon and this would be fantastic to make the activites we want to do more attainable.

Zola or Honeyfund! I do believe they take a small portion. You cash out to your bank I think.

what do you suggest if you're coming from two different classes; my family is upper-middle-class and budgets for these items well in advance, his is lower-middle-class doesn't understand this as much. Should I only register in something towards his family's budget? should i have two? how do i handle this?

Register for a wide range of gift prices, I totally should have mentioned this! Do gifts in the $20-50 range and some in the middle, as well as gifts around $100ish range. Everyone will get to pick their comfort point. Our situation was kind of similar and it worked out well when we did it like that!
