I recently came to know in north India people wear silver or gold plated jewelry on their wedding where as in south India a middle class family wedding the bride wear real gold worth 1/2 kg to 1 kg worth gold jewelry especially in Kerala.....artificial jewelry is absolutely noooo in our times now things are changing for good....i. Would have preferred good quality artificial jewelry of my choice rather than spending so much on making charges for gold jewelry will come upto 20 to 50 % of gold price...utter waste of money....I never wore all those jewelry after my marriage....just in locker fo ages....

I too like jewellery but the problem is we cant wear that anywhere else. Just 2 -3 pieces we can wear. Its like locker is wearing them.😂

Same in Kashmir , we wear so much real gold jewellery even the people from Middle class backgrounds it goes minimum upto 15-20 lakhs!
