Hiya How would you advise having a ceremony at 2pm then drinks reception at a local park then wedding reception at sports and social club. All venues are less than 10mins away from one another, We plan on hiring a double decker bus to transport everyone including us. We plan on having entertainment during the drinks reception we only having a small wedding less than 50 people. We decided on having a park as our reception venue doesn't have a good area for group shoots or for us to have a photoshoot. We are planning on having my partners band, a dj , live painter and photobooth. Advice shoud i hire a master of ceremonies

Hi, great video! really helpful!! I have a couple of questions: When would family photos normally be done? Within the drinks reception? What order do you recommend for speeches? What order of dances (MOTG dance, FOTB dance and couple dance etc)? I find your videos really helpful with planning our wedding in May🎉

what about if you only get 5 hrs at the venue for all of it? according to this timeline my wedding would have to end after speeches.

So the timeline is: Be ready in dress 1 Ceremony 2-2.30 Confetti shot 2.30-2.45 Drinks receptio 2.45-4.15 Seating 4.15-4.45 Dinner is served 4.55 Speeches around 6.30-7 Turn around/cocktail hour 7-8/8.30 Cutting cake and first dance 8

Thank you for this video, very helpful. I’m getting married at church and will have some kind of refreshments at church before going to the reception. The reception is about a 25 min drive, what would you suggest for my timelines for the day? Thinking of having the ceremony earlier to allow more time. Thank you!

Love your videos, there aren’t many UK wedding planning videos, as customs seem to differ quite a lot between UK and US weddings! (UK bride getting married here next year) Based on the timeline proposed here, what time would you put on the invites for guests who are just invited to the evening reception? Would it be the time designated for the turnaround, so guests are all (hopefully) present for the cake cutting and first dance?

I would say 7.30 to account for any over running of timings. But that’s based off of the timings in the video ☺️😘😘

We're getting married at our local registry office and the rest of our day is at a hotel that is directly opposite, so everyone has Just gotta cross the road however while our guests are making their way to the drinks reception we are taking 45 minutes to visit my partners mom's grave as it isn't far from our location and then we're going on to our drinks reception/photos and then the rest of the day as standard really xx

Very useful tips! When I spoke to my venue about the dinner plans, they were very happy that I planned 30min for seating and 2 hours to eat starters and mains (for 40 people). Apparently most people make that mistake of underestimating this part! Thank you for making it so clear. 💝
