@@MrKrumpetz I'm not Sioux, but I'm Ojibwe, and our cultures are very similar... So I have to say, you pretty much nailed it. Respect: Respect others and respect yourself by honouring all of creation and the teachings. Truth: Speak your truth, be true to yourself and all things (including people). Show honour and sincerity in your words and actions. Humility: To be humble is to know you are only a very small part of creation. You understand you need your family as they need you. Live life selflessly and not selfishly. Never be arrogant or self-important, and always strive to find balance in yourself and all things. Those are only a few of the traditional teachings we were all once taught to live by.

I look at the development of the relationship between Lieutenant John Dunbar (Later Dances With Wolves), and Wind In His Hair. When he first even laid eyes on Lt. Dunbar, he wanted to kill him, simply because Lt. Dunbar was white, and was seen as a "Meddling White Trespasser". Then...he kind of began to "Warm up" to Lt. Dunbar, and, before long, they had become great friends...kind of like brothers! Wind In His Hair found out that, just because somebody is "different", that doesn't mean that they're no good. Wind In His Hair did, at times, though, have a little bit of fun at Lt. Dunbar's expense. but it was a good-natured kind of fun. He knew that Lt. Dunbar was a good man, and that he was worth fighting for! That's why Wind In His Hair went on the Rescue Party, to rescue this man, who had become, by now, Dances With Wolves!

My grandmother married a Norwegian. I remember her meeting her when I was 5 years old and she told me about being native American and about dream catchers and she also told me that she a Jesus. This was even before I'd find Christ at the age of 13. I remember exactly what she looked like and wished I had more time with her. There was such a deep love in her I couldn't describe it. I remember sitting on her lap feeling so loved. I remember asking if white people were bad. I don't know why I asked this question to be honest she said no honey. She said a person's heart is judged by God on the inside not the outside. I didn't know who God was but I assumed he was very powerful. Although I don't know much about this part of my heritage I have pride. And I'm thankful that she knew Christ along with her daughter and all her other children. The very thing Wind in his hair is speaking about happens to all of us in life, we lose a pet, a relative, a best friend, then we grieve for awhile, then another comes along.. 02:06 ...🤔 Essa é uma das partes que considero mais signicativas do filme,e explico. Paz e Bem! 😺😉👍🏻🙏🏻✝️📖✨ kzread.info/dash/bejne/l2qW2atsd7apfKg.html

Smile a lot (Chasing His Horse) went in wrong direction in real life....On July 6, 2015, Chasing His Horse was banned from the Fort Peck Indian Reservation as a "safety threat", due to charges of "human trafficking, drug dealing, spiritual abuse and intimidation of tribal members."

I cannot overlook the idea that the native peoples of the United States of America consists of a collection of cultures which transcends the beauty of the senses and swims in a deep spiritual water which remains unknown to all who are not a part of it.

Not all of them. Read the history of the Comanches. Tick them off they would bury you up to your neck, then slice off your eyelids and walk away leaving you to starve to death. That was if they were feeling merciful. When they wanted to be cruel, they had worse ways of dealing with you.
