Weaving History
This video is a brief history of weaving.
Supplement to the ‘OSCA’ Ironing Training’ videos, the history of weaving helps us understand how the various fabrics we iron have come about. Shirts, pants, bed linen, they are all made from different thicknesses and density of weave. Knowing you’re the fabric we iron makes it easier to know what temperature and steam we want to set our irons to for best results.
OSCA is a professional ironing service in Melbourne, Australia. Est. 1986.

@@OscaIroning We take so many innovations for granted nowdays. Just about anything could be as well presented as you have done at this absolutely perfect level.
Perfect video. How it all started and developed into the enormous volumes we have today. Took me an hour to search for the real story - thanks for posting.

It's pretty amazing isn't it. I read somewhere that 100 billion garments are produced a year (that's about 14 garments for every living person). It can't possibly be sustainable.
