You were so right, that blonde wig looked so cute on you!!
i'm not a wig person BUT OUR PEARLIE CUTE GETTING A BRAND PROMO? 👁👄👁 MOVING UP IN THE WORLD SO PROUD OF HER
I always thought wearing wigs was an option because I recently joined the Lolita community. I personally don’t wear wigs because it seems like a hassle, but I applaud to others who can wear it and own it ❤️

Honestly, people who wear wigs all the time are superhuman!
I will never wear Lolita but this channel is incredibly comfortable.
Dude the short half and half one Iooks so adorable on you😭
The short pastel one really looked good on you with the headbow, but the blonde one was def. my favourite
The black is cute, too! I love the curls. I love the brown "hermione" the most followed by the golden one.
The blonde wig was def my fav too! It's such a nice color!
That honey colour one is gorgeous on you! I also agree with you about black wigs. I’ve bought a few in the past but it is just way too dark & unnatural looking. Even with heavy make up the balance was off 8(
*cries in thick, long, curly hair* Seriously thank you for the braiding advice, I haven’t gotten into wigs yet but I am sure I will soon because they look fun!
And with your topic about wigs in lolita, I'd like to correlate how hard it has always been specifically for woc and hair expectation in fashion. The comments of people who understandably never gave thought to have to wearing a wig made me realize something: The wearing of wigs Its a little deeper than the conversation was meant to go, but as women of color ( black women), the expectation to have hair that passes as other races is an unspoken rule that I always hated. It isn't just in lolita, but j-fashion rarely supported style or features that wandered too far from looking like cookie cutter models, even features that were natural to the lolitas ethnicity. Black women are still expected to destroy their hair with relaxers and irons through out history to get jobs or go to school without being suspended, but this discussion reminded me that woc are literally the only people on earth that are expected to hate and change their hair from birth. If I told anyone else that they needed to destroy their hair to maintain a job or go to school, they'd lose it lol. So I just wanted to remind you that you are beautiful. You are valid, and wig or no wig, you are a queen.
You are definitely rocking the blonde wig, that honey color works for you! I ordered a wig from Youvimi not too long ago, I wish this video had been out then lol. It's the Yokai one from the Mythical Creatures series. Aside from lolita I have a Sailor Moon x GU aesthetic I'm crazy about. I haven't tried it on yet, but I'm excited to try it on.

Just wanted to say I have the Yokai wig too and it's amazing! It's become my go to wig for the past few months and it's very Sailor Moon appropriate! Edit: Just wanted to add I ended up buying a backup of the wig too XD because I never want to stop wearing it.

@@MiyaNoS2 You know, that might be a very good idea! I don't know if you've put a video up trying it on, but I would love to see how it looks! Mine is still in the packaging and it looks awesome I just haven't had a moment to wear it.

@@petitecerise9151 Sadly no video as of yet with it on 😭 just a lot of coordinate photos. One thing is the base wig is slightly too small for my head so I ended up purchasing a wig grip to wrap around my head so the wig doesn't move as much. Also helped with keeping most of my stray hairs hidden. But if you fit most standard sized wigs it should be no problem ❤️
I do think your concerns are valid, but it may be because the blonde wig coordinated well with the colors you were wearing. Try your black wig while wearing darker colors, etc. I also love to play around with temporary color waxes on the bangs and tips to help coordinate those colors into my wigs. ♡ regardless you look gorgeous in all of them, but I especially loved how your skintone contrasted with the black hair. You're beautiful
These are so cuteee! ahh I am so happy I found you
The blonde wig makes you look like Goldilocks!!
So cute!! 🥰 I agree the second to last wig is adorable on you!! I recently reviewed a bunch of Youvimi wigs and found the same issues
The cutest girl in KZread 😤😭
I actually own the short blue/pink bob wig. I bought it for my angelic pretty little twin stars dress. And I love it so much. But I love short wigs.😆
Those are cute!
I started Lolita in mid 2000s but in South America we didn't care much about the wigs... I still wear them depending on the style, mostly because my hair is super frizzy and a mess to style :( You did look really pretty on the black one! x
My fave was actually that short pastel one =]
8:30 that’s literally exactly what I do 😂
I kept thinking the wigs looked cute and then you would say "it definitely needs styling"...besides the bangs, how can you tell a wig needs styling? I thought since they come already curled or whatever, that means they're "styled."

I guess it depends on what look you're going for! For example, if I get a wig but the hair is a bit too dense, I'll thin the hair out with special scissors. Or if the wig has tight/ringlet curls, I'll purposely "ruin" them by brushing them out so they become big, fluffy waves instead (which I prefer). You can also do things to make them less shiny! Just little things to make it look less fresh out of the bag, I feel
I have a shaved head and that just doesn't mix with historically inspired fashions, unless I wanna look like Fantine from Les Mis after she sold her hair LMAO
Where did you get the wig you were wearing at the beginning
♡
Are the wigs dyable doe. Edit: I agree that braids did it justice, but I think a coord in similar colors would help, the wig gives me unicorn vibes.

Actually the necessity of wigs in Lolita started in the early 2000s purely because folks were made at bipoc Lolita who were wearing their hair out even then. At first it was blatant racism but over a decade it became a standard. The messages bipoc folks would get on LiveJournal were absolutely awful. 😮💨 Because of that I've never worn a wig in my life even if I've only done casual Lolita in passing.
