Hi Sir. I'm being ruled by Saturn for 2.5 years. That is the medium term one. It ends in February 2019. I am currently experiencing a Rahu Mahadash as well which will end about 8 years from now. My sun is very weak sitting in 12th house with Rahu. So I have fasted for Rahu and Shani. It has been a month now and no difference. Can I also do a Surya vrat during this period just to bring some energy? Will this anger Shani since he doesn't like Surya? My saturn is retrograde and at 19degrees Pisces in the fourth house.. Saturn is weak in Pisces yes? It sits with jupiter and ketu in sagittarius in first in D9. Some people say saturn is a bit deamy in Pisces?. Since it is my main planet of career (aspecting tenth), i think it exerts a Piscean influence my career... My tenth lord mercury is in the 7th in Gemini so maybe that's another career related factor. I had a very powerful experience in my early thirties where great energy and pressure built up and a great fear of death arose which led to a kind of dissolution of sense perceptions and was kind of re-united with my self without form. I lost fear of death and though i was happier i got quite neglectful of my external life.. I lost much ambition and motivation. I just got so content that i didn't care to strive for anything. So then i started to apply myself to physical exercise.. like yoga (salute to the sun in morning) and gym.. also trying to eat regular which was difficult. This helped somewhat because i had more energy to engage in life. Because before that i didn't care enough for my body. I meditate all the time because i enjoy it. But i can really get lost in meditation for many hours and it doesn't help with practical things actually haha i have to limit it to little bit in morning and night. If i have a free day i could easily just stay home in meditation and be completely happy. What i like is if others can make me engage in things and fortunately i have such relationships now, otherwise i don't get much drive from within myself.. I'm working and i also like painting, so learning to efficiently manage my time is very useful. Because I'm working exercising painting.. and meditation and so on. Its a good thing as you say to be active and engaged.

This is not a comfortable position for saturn and mars- saturn conjunction creates an environment of war in the house in which they sit. And even if mars and saturn here are in planetary war then mars will win the war and saturn gets defeated because mars is in its own sign and hence more strong than saturn.
