Tried that before… cut onions and peppers at home and by the time we hit camp the whole fridge tasted like onions 🧅 😂

@@FFdo. nahhhh, I stick with my pour over. Now I don’t freshly grind the beans so I’m not going full barista mode but not instant coffee either. I’ll put a little work into the coffee game.

Hey thanks for checking out the video. We passed through in the middle of winter during covid a couple years back and the place was a ghost town. So it is for sure on our list to return to soon, and during a better time of year ha. Ill keep ya posted, thanks for the offer, appreciate it.

the meadows is no joke when it's cold. where I live it was 105... few hours later it was 70 down there.. can't wait to go back.

Yeah this will be a summer time escape from the heat next year for sure.

@@prospectoverland As for the diesel heaters if inhad to buy one today I'd purchase the HCALORY 12V 5KW with the Bluetooth. Good value, easy to carry. Only con I see is you have to do a bit more assembly then most can handle. We have a couple videos on our channel. I do like the idea of ease of a suit case style heater for travel purposes. FPG 👍👍 Thank you Thank you Thank you. I've seen it all and that I've never seen till your walk around video!!!! P.S Teresa was wondering where Kim gets her recipes? Some yummy camp/ trail meals.

@@OutOfOfficeCamping thanks for the opinion on the heater. I’ll check it out and your video. We have been doing the Keto life style for the last year and a half so your best bet is just googling keto egg roll in a bowl. The other stuff we tend to just use ground turkey or chicken a lot and low carb Mission tortillas. We don’t really use formal receipts at all. Just have kinda figured out what is okay to eat on keto and make it up as she goes.

I run Tacoma offroad, in process to Overland Built. I m looking for the Planar 2D 12v the only thing I don't like is the price, but they look well made... and for a RTT it s very efficient.....

Day time was awesome, Just a little brisk….but nights were just that real clear sky, dry air super cold.

You should invest in an ostrich wing awning. It’s fantastic.

We camp in the back of our truck and have used an electric blanket inside the sleeping bag which was crazy HOT so next time we plan to put it under the sleeping bag. With the Vtolman jump 1000, it easily ran all night but the temp was only mid 25 or so.

@@prospectoverland So my wife told me that it is a normal full size electric blanket as it plugs right into the battery pack we are using. she packed it away after our trip. It is nothing fancy.

That looks like Kennedy meadows area. Its always fun to hit the fire lookout tower SW of the ranger station.

None, it does exactly what it is meant to do. Light weight, keep your truck pretty functional, cheap compared to full truck camper builds etc. But it’s still just tent material so don’t go in expecting amazing 4 season all weather type of resistant. You will get hot some night and cold other nights.

hey thanks for checking out the video. But I do my best to not totally blow the camping spot locations. I typically don't show any roadway signs or campground markings and just refer to the area in general. If you consider the thousands of people the will ultimately watch this video in the weeks to come if just a couple hundred of those people go to the spot it would be packed year around and likely trashed from too much use.
