We are so excited to finally be sharing our WINE TOUR in Tuscany, Italy!
When we decided to come to Italy, we KNEW we had to include a wine tour in the famous Chianti wine region - a world famous region of wineries and vineyards. We knew we'd love it, but we were honestly shocked at just HOW much we enjoyed ourselves! A lot of this has to do with the people you travel with, and we had one of the best groups around.
We did a day trip from Florence, we left around 9 am and came back around 6! This was the perfect amount of time to get a taste of Tuscany.
We visit 2 wineries, starting with Fattoria Poggio Alloro. This was an amazing winery/vineyard to visit, because they grew almost everything in house! From pasta to honey to wine, they did it all. From there, we headed to the well-preserved, medieval town of San Gimignano! This was an unexpected and incredible stop for the day! The history here is extremely interesting and the town being so well preserved is something that is almost impossible to find anywhere else in Italy. We had some of the world's BEST gelato at Gelateria Dondoli, explored the towers, and then got back on the road for our next stop - Tenuta Torciano. We tried NINE wines here as well as easily the best lasagna that has ever existed.
We had such a wonderful time learning about wine tasting, food pairing, and enjoying great company. This is easily one of the best options for a wine tour from Florence, it felt very personal!

What a beautiful view to start off the video. Its a gorgeous city. The Gelato looks really yummy. How nice to have lasagna made by a real grandma. You know its good when a grandma makes it. What a cool tour xx

You guys are the cutest couple. I am so scared of travelling (planning Europe, UK and US virgin travel with fam next year) but you guys always make it look so easy peasy to travel. Thanks for sharing. It cant always be easy!

Aww thank you!! It definitely is not always easy. We’ve shared a few disastrous travel experiences and there will be plenty more to come I’m sure 😂 i think the key is going with it and knowing most things that go wrong can be worked out or fixed! and a bad day while traveling is still better than a good day at work 😂
