The bit where Zach was explaining his dairy allergy kind of reminded me of my sister. In future I hope they add 1 little element which is to show how the professionals would have paired the cheese afterwards. I think that would be really helpful for those of us at home who are trying to figure out how to do it correctly. I still found the video very enjoyable but less educational than it could have been. Same as they have the professionals show how to make an item in without a recipe.

I think they all bring something a little different that the channel needs; you just don’t see it in videos. Zach brings ideas and oversees how each individual videos fits in to the big picture and brand. Keith brings comedy and the social media “hook” to engage with people and keep them coming back. And Eugene is HR and PR and helps bring them relevancy outside of KZread.

And I’m sure they’re all tiring in some way. Eugene has to juggle a lot of different balls and carry the pressure of being the “responsible” one all the time. @@MagicalMissMikki not everyone in the deli will know about the cheese, but the manager definitely should! We had different mini-departments in our deli. Rotisserie, hot foods, salad bar, pre-packed salads and sandwiches, sliced meat and cheese counter, cheese bar, and our deli case with chicken salads, desserts, etc. Everyone had a different job but as the manager I was expected to be able to give customers recommendations or information on the cheeses we sold. My favorite part of the job was setting up our daily sample station because I was able to try a different cheese each day. I worked at a grocery chain in Indiana which has now closed, but I would assume the Kroger deli would be much the same. It was honestly one of my favorite jobs, I wish the grocery chain didn’t go out of business. From what I heard the founder’s sons did a bunch of money laundering and shady shit 😩

I don't know why, but Jared's little, "I just made cheese by myself!" was ADORABLE, lol. He was so excited about it!
After years of working in deli, I just became a cheesemonger 3 months ago. Mind you, the term cheesemonger is most likely being used extremely loosely in our situation. There was no schooling, it's on-the-job learning about the different cheeses, doing my own research/learning at home (voluntarily) and all that. I loved it enough to put in my own work and do all that research. Now, when customers come up asking about cheeses, pairings, recommendations, and all that, I can knowledgably talk to them about the different cheeses. So glad to see you guys immersing yourself in the wonderful world of cheese!! My top 3 faves are Cotswold (English double Gloucester supplemented with chives and spring onions), St. Agur (intense double cream french blue) and the third varies but I do love a creamy goat chevre.
