Luffy’s voice actress is actually the same as Krilin in Dragon Ball. This is why if you rewatch Ressurection Of F, the movie with Golden Freezer when Krilin answers his phone, the ringtone is the first opening of One Piece.

This Ocean truly has it all, be prepared, for tears you never expected, laughs you never saw coming and being completely dumbfounded at times by the sheer stupidity. But one thing Oda does well is make a world and story so compelling its almost unheard of. Oda keeps his childhood in mind when making this anime, and a lot of it will constantly reflect that. Nobody in the west watched the original version of DB. They only know the heavily edited butchered eng dub version with dialogue rewritten, scenes and even whole episodes cut out.

just remember this, one piece is one of the longest running anime that started in 1999 so don't be surprised if the animation and effects are not that good in the first episodes of one piece And at the first stories of one piece it was really funny and enjoyable.. but the longer you watch the story of one piece.. the more you will see how the story gets better and better and also the animation, so just enjoy watching it and let it continue because that would be really fun and exciting

I love the mvp idea! Maybe not as early in as the East Blue saga, but you might want to add in a non-strawhat list because more than likely, your “crew” list will be full of only strawhats (and rightfully so). But as you’ll see in the anime, the side characters are all also pretty amazing in their own right. That was something that I really missed in the live action. You could have 1) your crew, 2) most wanted, and 3) your village (or something to that effect). So excited for y’all! One Piece is truly an epic journey!

OP doesn't stop improving. What people say about pacing is overblown, so be careful what you skip. Some episodes that are labeled as filler are genuinely some of the best

I would strongly agree to this , there are very few actual filler IMO that are worth skipping like possible 10 episodes I found to be . Overall the pacing is part of the show . Watch it all. It can be boring at times but so is everything in life . Just watch everything!!!

The pacing around Rosa and wholecake was insane, the beginning pacing is actually better but the 100 shots reaction per episode and dramatic slow movements, repeated animations, in pretimeskip it’s ok but in post timeskip pre during Rosa to wano was a bit horrendous in a lot of areas

One Piece is literally hitting its peak in terms of attention right now, 27 years after it debuted. As someone who has followed it since 2000, this is insane to me. The live action series really allowed for a completely unexpected renaissance for the entire series. I don't think anyone imagined it would have had the impact that it has had so far considering the history of adaptations being less than stellar combined with the fact that it's _One Piece,_ not just one of the longest running serializations ever but also the #2 comic _in the world._ Because of those factors, you would naturally just expect something of that size to have hit that peak _years_ ago. Personally, I also think that a major contribution to its present heights is the fact that it has a massive amount of ingrained content due to its size. People whose jobs it is to, say, react to content have literally _months_ of it just sitting there, waiting to be consumed. And even if it's not in your job description to react to everything, just having it as a side project is enough to allow an individual to constantly have something to bring up and talk about for a long, long time (if you don't just find yourself devouring it as quickly as possible, which I've seen happen to many who thought they'd pace themselves at the start). It's so large and all-encompassing that you can use One Piece to talk about almost anything. And while I did say One Piece is the second biggest comic of all time, at the rate it's going it'll be taking that top spot from Superman in just a handful of years; I can't even imagine where it'll be once it ends.

Ange and Carlie will love Zorro more than Sanji for sure. The Live action covers episodes 1-45. The first Saga, the East Blue ends at 61.
